Time Flies –
A friend just mentioned to me that it’s been a month since I’ve been to xanga. A month??? Really??? Holy cow. How did the time zip by so fast? The sad part is, I’m still in the middle of a whirlwind that won’t end till this week ends. However, I got up early and decided to spend some time with my computer, if I can remember how!
Prom went great, as you can see by the pictures. Then it was getting ready for confirmation, graduation, parties and guests. All the while working 20 hours a week at Super Cuts and subbing as much as I possible could. It got a little crazy to say the least! I’ll post graduation pictures and confirmation pictures as soon as I get some real time to download them, fix them up and then post them here.
I do miss xanga. Something about it. It’s like that favorite diary you wrote religiously in as a teen, and then wandered away from somehow and could never get back into the habit. I’m hoping that won’t be the case here. So many of my xanga friends rarely update or comment any more though. They are all on facebook. While I like face book, it seem that some of the personal feeling is gone. Here I feel like I really get to know people through their blogs. Weird huh? I’m sure it’s all in my mind.
Tomorrow Ducky leaves for Hawaii. Please pray for her safety and well being. This trip could be quite difficult for her and I am concerned for her. My final house guest (and best friend for almost 19 years) leaves to return back to Florida Friday. Since school is out, no more sub jobs. So it will be much easier to do things like – update, job hunt, clean the house, etc. I’m glad but yet again, sad. It’s been so much fun having Zingy here. And seeing all of our family. However it’s been crazy hectic since like beginning of April? I think I’m ready for some mundane routine. LOL
Oh yea, I forgot to share what we got the girls for graduation. This may sound strange, but we got Coralora a gorgeous bonsai tree (she’s been wanting one and tried to grow but no avail) For Ducky we are going to take her skydiving. Since we couldn’t take her to Italy, we wanted to give her SOME kind of adventure. I’m thinking I’ll go with her. I’ve always wanted to skydive.so, Question of the day?
Would you willingly jump out of a perfectly good airplane?

QOTD – Um, no… I will not jump out of a plane unless my very life depended on it. I have a fear of falling, so skydiving is pretty much out. lol

The answer to the question is, absolutely not! I would only jump out if my life depended on it.
Facebook is much more impersonal than Xanga. I keep both for that very reason. I kind of like that Xanga will let you post to Facebook immediately. That way, your Xanga friends on Facebook can go read your more in depth post.
Why is Ducky going to Hawaii? Is it to see her old boyfriend?
Good luck once again with the job hunting. I really hope you can find a teaching position for this fall.

Oh I’ve missed you! I’m glad to hear that all is well. Spring seems to be busy for everyone.
On skydiving: I don’t think I could do it. I’m kind of a wimp! You’ll have to let us know if you end up going with Ducky!
I would have trouble jumping out of a perfectly BAD airplane! I would probably have to be pushed. : )
most of the time i’m on facebook i’m playing games like farkle or bejewelled. i don’t get to know anyone on there. ill comment on statuses but no one seems to care to have a converstaion on there so it’s not my happy place just my i’m bored out of my mind place. plus it’s less controversial subjects o if someone is looking over my shoulder i don’t feel weireded out. ilove my xanga.
I agree, lets do it together, lets come back to xanga. I’ve been terrible and farmtown is so addictive but I miss xagna. Glad to see your post here
Check your email from me about this Thursday, it seems like a fun thing to do even with your best friend still being in town. Let me know what you think.
