Twilight Premiere
So last night I took the daughters to the midnight release of Twilight. We went to the 12:02 showing. Luckily, I didn’t have to work today – as I am an old woman and don’t recover well from late nights like that! We got home just before 3:00 and in bed by about 3:30.
The movie was AWESOME! As usual for a movie that follows a book, there were some disappointments. One thing I loved was the inside humor they put in many scenes that only those who read the books would get! Loved that! Yay for book readers! And there was just too much eye candy to process. It was a touch on the emo side for my tastes, but other than that – fantastic!!!
In other good news, even though I haven’t been a “good” weight watcher, I continue to post losses — woot me. I’ve now lost just over 25 lbs.
Along those lines…
Last week a very nice lady (and my new best-est friend ha ha) told me she thought I was in my twenties. In the past 2-3 weeks a total of 4 people have told me I don’t look anywhere near old enough to have a 17 and 15 year old daughter. One lady commented “you must have started really young”, when I told her not really, I had my first child at 23 she was literally astounded! That’s what I like to hear!! What ever I’m doing must be working ~ right?
Alright, I’m off to get ready for work and finish watching Rent with Ducky – have a great day everyone and an even better weekend! Hubby finally comes home this week end, and I’m off to boot, so I know mine will be good!
Peace
Out.
Question of the day:
What’s happened good in your life lately?

I’m debating whether or not to see that movie. I haven’t read the book but I might have to read before I go…
Sounds like things are going great for you, 25 lbs?? THAT IS AWESOME!!
Good? Yeah I had a HUGE baby shower yesterday at work, it was so much fun and amazing.
Congrats on the weightloss!!
woohoo!!!
I’m seeing the movie next week with both of my sisters :big-smile:
Our paper’s reviewer must not have read the book; she didn’t like it, and rated “Bolt” higher!
Congratulations on the weight loss, and the compliments!
i’m glad to hear the movie is good. i wanted to see it first day but i have to work tomorrow and i’m the same way as you so i am skipping until monday. plus its cheaper in the afternoons!
:birdie:OMG we are twins separated at birth! I am so a horror/thriller fan! We wait all year and don’t see any releases and when our kids are here for Christmas we see every one we can
super CONGRATS on 25lbs!!!!:celebrate:
Good for you about the weight loss! Congrats!!! Yeah, I’ve been told I don’t look my age either…I love it when that happens!
I went with a couple of my friends and we took our daughters and their friends to see Twilight. It was quite a group! I had already resigned myself that it would be different from the book, and I liked it, despite the differences. My daughter is already pestering me to see it again!
Have an awesome weekend!!
Nice…….I have traveled this whole week for work………ready to go home……hugs.
I saw the movie today. There were a few minor disappointments for me, but there were also parts that were just like I imagined them – like the way Bella’s Dad’s house looked. Overall, not bad.
Congrats on your weight loss! YAY for you!
My hubby is the best thing in my life right now. I think he’s awesome – he thinks I’m delusional. lol I tell him that may be true, so he should enjoy it while it lasts.
oh my goodness! CONGRATULATIONS on the weight loss, it must really be showing and that must feel great!
I have daughters who have read the book “Twilight” and are looking forward to the movie. Glad to hear your husband is home and I hope your weekend is going well!
Not much has been going on in my life but I always seem to be busy…
I thought about you guys with the movie premier. You and Angie are the reasons I got Twilight for the library, and would you believe, it has “walked” out?! I hate it went that happens!
Hope you are doing well. Take care and have a great Thanksgiving!
