Interviewed again
So Monday was another interview. It went really well and the vice principal said it would probably end up being between me and the candidate before me. He also said he thought I would get snapped right up and that he would talk me up to the other administrators if they didn’t pick me up. He also mentioned they might have a 5th grade position opening up and if so they would definitely be calling me again. So even if I don’t get this position, I feel better about my capabilities. This position is one for Family School, which is working with homeschoolers — right up my alley! And also right within my expertise! Cross your fingers for me. I’m holding out hope…
We finished putting up french doors. We did this to separate the living areas so when the girls had friends over or were playing video games, we can still hear the TV in the other living area. We have a tri-level home. We have two living areas, one we set up as the “game” room. That’s where we have the game systems hooked up. That’s also where we hang out when the kids are having “movie” nights. With the doors we don’t have competing TV volumes. It’s really nice. Since we installed the french doors we decided we’d also rearrange. It looks so nice now! I have to clean the crafting / homework area still, but it is really nice! I’ll take some pictures and post them later.
I was just watching the news. The police shot a man who called the paramedics because of chest pain and then refused to go to the hospital!! LOL Guess where he’s at now?? See… ? They can MAKE you go to the hospital! Watch out!
In other news – I finally got to play Rock Band and was having a blast! The drums are not my strong suit – YET, but I’m working on it! Fun stuff. Now just to get Mario Kart and Wii Fit. Then I’m good for awhile!

I just finished “Twilight Princess”; it was SO good! I have Mario Galaxy next. I would love to get Wii Fit, but it is a bit pricey, isn’t it?

We got “Guitar Hero” a few days ago. I’m addicted. Games like “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band” are so much fun!
I wish that we would play rock band if we purchased it. I still need to get better at GH. Have fun at 11:00 today. Congrat’s on the great interview. It amazes me that my 35 minutes on the treadmill was only worth 1 point since I could still talk and sing. I was at a 3 incline and at 3 mph and that was wonderful since I have not been on that animal in over a year.

I’m not sure if I would be good at rock band. My son loves guitar hero though.
I have always wanted to learn to play the drums. Mr plays guitar. All we would need is a singer…

We are buying my nephew’s Wii ( a good deal with all the stuff and a couple of games too) so I am looking forward to playing soon. Nephew wants the 360, it was what he wanted all along and his former fiance gave him the Wii. So I’m happy to take it off his hands so he can get what he wants, and get rid of a reminder of her!

Our set up sounds like yours…one living area is the “game” room and the other is the real living room, but both have good size, good sound TV’s, etc…I have “shutter” style doors, but would like to have something more solid because of the competing volumes….since we are in the middle of re-do’s anyway, you have given me an idea…and I also have a plan to use one of the shutters as a magazine rack!! I’ll have to take pics…thanx for posting about your doors….do they have glass? maybe you described in an earlier post….I’ll check…

I got rock band for my birthday, I’m triple threat as long as we keep the drums on easy. I prefer to sing though

We have both Rock Band and Guitar Hero. The kids have only gotten me to play Rock Band, probably in part because they won’t surrender the guitars while they play guitar hero… For Rock Band, I played drums and did vocals. It was ugly…
But it was fun!
