The job is going pretty well. Boring and simple, but the people are very nice and the work is easy. At least I’m out of the house and earning some money. My manager also agreed to work around my schedule if I go back to subbing or get picked up for a full time position. She said I could work nights and week ends, which I would probably do for awhile in order to get caught up financially. Besides, like I said, the people are really VERY nice.

Speaking of jobs…. guess what I’ve gotten since I started working? Two interviews!! WOOT! They are both scheduled for Friday, and both for Rio Rancho schools. That would mean a commute, but at this point I really don’t care! I’ll take any teaching position – any at all! So wish me luck. I’ll let you know on Sat. how they went. Why Sat.? Well …. because Friday is going to be CRAZY!

The entire family has dental appointments starting at 8:00 am. Then Ducky has to be to work by 11:00 – my first interview is across town at 11:30, then my second interview at 1:00. Then back across town to clock into work by 3:00 and work until 9:00. I think I’ll be wiped out by then! They asked if I could work this week end at one of the other stores and I said sure, forgetting that Ducky has senior portraits on Saturday at 11:30 and her birthday is Sunday. We colored her hair today for her portraits – it turned out awesome. She got the cutest cut last week end. Her punky colors came in the mail yesterday, so voila! Think Pink. Just the front is pink these days though, the back is dark brown. It does really look cute.

We are thinking about taking her and some friends to Cliff’s for her birthday. She’s an adrenaline junkie, and we haven’t been yet. I still haven’t gone shopping for her Birthday yet either. Jeez. I guess I’d better get busy! Like I don’t already have enough to do! Ha!

Tomorrow it’s the library, WW, fun with Terrific58 and then some errands (like getting Ducky’s Birthday presents!). Guess it will be another busy, busy day! I’d rather be busy than bored though. Just not TOO busy!

    Question of the Day:

Busy or lots of free time?

  • You are hot……..woo hoo……..keep up the good work and always go for the interviews…….never know…….hugs.

  • :hammer::hammer:  I just lost a HUGE comment, my fault but still :hammer:   Good luck with the interviews, I’m sure you’ll knock em’ dead!!

I’ll be back later with the rest of my comment, Savannah’s pullin on me….

  • My comment to you was placed on my site!   Would you like to  meet at Super Salad on San Mateo and Montgomery when you are done with WW?  I have my weigh in in Friday so I am tyring to be good.  Keep me away from the ginger bread and the potatos unless I do a potato with nothing but salsa and green chili.

  • Good luck with the interviews!!  How long of a commute?

    Busy… way too busy!!!  :whew:

  • 12:30 is perfect.   That will give me a chance to get YK’s car title papers to her.  Maybe even have Lewis meet us to sign his name on the “dotted line”.  See you at San Mateo and Montgomery.

  • I hope they offer you a job that you really, really like!  Good luck!

I’ve been looking for a part-time job too.  Since it looks like the mortgage business is going to be in the crapper for a while longer, I need some steady money coming in from somewhere!

  • Good luck girl!

  • I am too busy lately.

  • isn’t it amazing how when one thing falls in your lap others start as well. it’s like everything starts moving and shaking. hope you get one of the teaching jobs. you were born to do it i think. lately i have no time because i am always doing something. worry about dogs cooking or just plain sick and tired.

  • woo hoo!  Best wishes on those interviews.  *wishing real hard*

I am entirely too busy, and I just wish life would slow a bit so I could enjoy it more….

    Birthday wishes for your daughter.

  • Good luck on the interviews! Are you in New Mexico? I have people in Rio Rancho. Small world. To answer your question: Busy but lazy. THere is way more to get done than I have energy to do so I could be rather busy but I keep putting stuff off to relax or sleep.
    You sound very busy! emlee

  • Best of luck. I’m sure the right thing will turn up soon and it will all be worth it.

Have a great weekend and don’t work TOO hard!

  • Hope the interviews went well.

  • @NightlyDreams - Thank you! I like to think I’m born to teach, but lately, it just seems so unlikely! This really has boosted my spirits though, so we’ll see!

  • @emlee57 - Yes indeed – I’m now firmly planted in Albuquerque — I’d change my site, but can’t bear to leave HI completely behind!
