Amazing….
Rush was amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed the show! Rush is one of my all time favorite bands. Growing up my three favorites were Rush, Black Sabbath and Scorpions. I loved all the good rock of the 70′s – Clapton, Floyd, Hendrix (ok and the 60s) but my heart belonged to Rush, Sabbath and Scorps. So I’ve seen Scorps and Rush, now if only Sabbath would tour, of course, I loved them back in the Ozzy days, but they were good with Ronnie James Dio too….. I’d go no matter, I never got to see Sabbath when I was young, so I’d take any opportunity to hear them live.
I’m including some videos, if you’re not really a rocker, watch the first part of the first one (with the South Park Intro) which they did at the concert — TOO FUNNY! For those who don’t know Rush, they have a song called “Tom Sawyer” – the South Park Take is pretty interesting. Then I’m including a video of Neil’s drum solo (which is quite long) for one reason —- it was AMAZING!!! Angie, I thought you would get a kick out if for sure, being a drummer’s mom and biggest fan, and a die hard rocker to boot.
I was tired today, but it was worth every yawn!!!

*edit* OK, AI is pissing me off. I think Brooke keeps getting better, and Jason worse. He should have gone home a long time ago and Carly and Michael Johns should STILL be there. Argh…… ticking me off. I think Brooke and Seyesha should have gone before Michael and Carly. :rolls eyes: What are these people thinking???

what is AI? it must be a show i am not familiar with. one band i would go see that i’ve never had a chance to. well i have only been to a few concerts so there are so many i could not choose. probably my childhood favorite bon jovi since it was the first rock band i had friends that liked as well so it made the experiencing more satisfying.
I’m totally with you on AI! I can not believe voters sent home Carly and kept Jason!! He’s been over his head for a long. long time now. I was good with Brooke going. She’s sweet and all, just not a lot of range there. I thought Carly or David Cook should win it. Do you think the anti-Idol voters are playing a role here? I’m just going to be p*ssed if Jason actually wins.
Sounds like a great concert. I’m not much of a Rush fan, but I love the Scorpions and got to see them live in the 80′s. It was the absolute best concert I have ever been to.
I agree, Jason should have gone home last night.
I haven’t even been watching AI this year, don’t know who Rush is but LOVE South Park.

@dtrask - If he does win it will be a serious injustice! I’m hoping David C will win. I love David A — he’s just so cute! But David C is definitely the one with the most talent! I think David A needs a few more years!

@terrific58 - Yes….I will definitly be able to play then!! LOL — I was going to try to go to camera club,and hooking up with you for dinner before would have been great, but my day got away from! This week was the last day of NMELPA testing, so it’s back to regular subbing.

somehow i managed to forget completely about american idol. i have a friend who is really into it but i never got on that bandwagon. i do like a lot of the contestants that come out of it but i never did manage to get hooked onto the actual show.
