  • Finally, I’m legal

Well I’ve finally done it. I went to DMV one more time and decided to try to get my NM driver’s license. If you remember last time I couldn’t prove I lived in NM. Since they ticked me off, I’ve been passive aggressive about getting my license. Since I couldn’t prove I lived here, I figure they couldn’t prove I lived here either, so therefore – no need to get a license. Made sense right? OK, so in truth, I knew I was in the wrong and eventually drug my butt back to DMV for another round of abuse and torture.

Today must have been my lucky day however, as it took all of about 15 minutes to get my license and now I’m officially legal. Hooray right?

Job fair on Saturday was so/so. Supposedly I’m going to be called for interviews this week. We’ll see. I certainly hope so. Of course they say that they do more hiring in the month of August then in all the rest of the months combined, so I’m holding out hope.

Well I’ve been really busy. And tomorrow is the Rush concert. So I will hopefully be around more later on this week.  Have a good week everyone!

  • Hip hip hoorah for all your licenses….Now you can teach,  drive with the best of them…

Sorry you have been busy like me having to go out in the real world and get a job.

Hopefully you can find sometime to craft….

…I would go nuts if I didnt do something fun everyonce in a while.

    Huggies……….

  • Yay for being legal!  At one point this year, my license was expired, my car unregistered and uninspected.  But hey, at least I was insured!  All legal now though.  I don’t hide from cops anymore!

RYC:  Canterbury’s Law stars Julianna Margolies (Carol Hathaway from ER).  She plays a lawyer, struggling with her marriage and long ago kidnapped son.  It’s pretty good.  I liked her on ER and she’s even tougher on this show.  I think it’s also on Fox.

  • Yay! Finally legal!

  • Yay for being legal!!  I had something similar with the DMV here 10+ years ago.  ryc:  I’m limited as to what I can put there, when it rains hard, which isn’t often but often enough, rain comes from the roof and falls there.  I don’t think you can see it in the picture but we have a cement “stepper thing” beside the entrance and the rain hits it.  Anyway, I’m still not sure exactly what I’ll do there but Im glad they gone

  • something similar happened to my youngest daughter who lives in Oregon…she didn’t have proof that she was a resident of Oregon to apply for her license there…sort of a limbo situation.

  • Have a great time at the concert, and best luck for a life on the road!

  • Congrats legal neighbor! Jerjonji is also going to Rush tonight. Watch out for the August hiring. Those tend to be short term contracts and annoying at the same time. I will be spending my Tuesday, waiting for Wednesday to come. Have fun tonight.

  • Congrats on being “legal”!  Have fun at the concert.

  • so…a little passsive aggressive are you eh?  I enjoyed this post and the cartoon.  The DMV can be such an annoying experience.  I can understand why you put it off.

I hope you get your fall school year arranged before August.  That would drive me nuts having to wait that long…

    How was the concert?

  • :celebrate:  Glad you got your license, although I don’t see how they could make you get one if they don’t even think you live there.  I have to go in on Saturday to get mine renewed.  I anticipate a long wait, as they’re only open one SAturday a month for 4 hours!
