  • Snow Day!

Today is our first ever snow day!

Yup, that’s right – our first ever snow-day. The girls were tickled. There wasn’t really that much snow, however the streets were covered in ice until about noon.  The kids had a great time sliding on the streets.

Once the roads started clearing up, we journeyed down to the nearest grocery store, stocked up on snow day munchies and then hit up Red Box for some handy, quickly vended entertainment! And of course – on a snow day, with a girl filled house, that means:

    CHICK FLICKS!!

Hooray for chick flicks! I love cheesy, romantic comedies that are guaranteed to make me smile, laugh and cry all in one sitting! Can’t get much better than that right? Except for the chocolate, can’t forget the chocolate!

So I’m off to finish reveling in my overdose of romance and comedy. Anybody want to join me?

  • Sounds like a fun day.  You’ll have to let me know how The Game Plan is.  My girls really want to see it.  Enjoy!

  • OH that sounds like fun!

RYC: Thanks for your kind words. It’s funny you mention that song, when it first came out and heard each song, I cried. Each and every song hit a part of my life, and during that time things were really bad. I’m sure eventually the pain will be less.

  • ooooh baby… COUNT ME IN!!

  • Sounds like a fun day.  I went to the theatre and saw a cheezy chick flick the other night with my oldest dayghters.  ’27 Dresses’  It was predictable, romantic, cheesy, and I loved every minute of it.  I call that pure entertainment!

  • RYC:  You are right he probably will have a biting issue.  You mentioned something about embedding the video in my blog.  How would I do that?  I’m not very Xanga savvy yet.  LOL!

  • my kids have the day off cuz of the windchill…..i’m sooooo jealous :)

  • Sounds like you had a relaxing day! Hope you didn’t run out of chocolate!!! :so-cool:

  • @vjgunkel59 - We went to see that the other day — I enjoyed it too! Very cute, predictable, but cute! Loved the wedding at the end! All those bridesmaids!

  • Ahh, yes.  I do love a good couch potato tv watching girl movie day with a heaping pile of chocolate.  We’re hoping for a snow day tomorrow.  Probably won’t happen because our new superintendent of schools is from South Bend, IN where they get lake effect snow and here is pretty much straight down with no blowing, but we can still hope.

  • I think I literally LIVE for chick flicks.

    Cow time now. :dancingcow:

  • I am confused, is it snowing in Maui? Surely not…, so I have been out of touch with my Xanga friends lately, I am sorry.

Favorite chick flicks, “Fried Green Tomatoes”, “Steel Magnolias” and “Beaches”…, all sappy, sad chick flicks.

    Hugs, Tricia :celebrate:

  • @pray14me - We moved from Maui to NM back in June of 07. I haven’t changed my site yet,  1- because I’m not sure what to change it too, and 2- because I love it so much, I can’t bear to part with it :what: . — I am working on it though!

  • RYC: Yes, I love him!
