Sad, sad news
Today I'm feeling extra blue. I got some very sad news from a dear friend of mine who I met right here on the pages of Xanga. Although she no longer blogs here, we've maintained our connection through Instant Messaging and emails. She's a fantastic lady with a fantastic family. On saturday her and her husband, (and probably her son although I don't know for sure) were running a 5k. Her husband had a heartache and could not be revived. He was just 40 years old. I'm just heartbroken for her and her son. It makes me cry so much, even though I only met them in real life one time, I feel like I really knew him. It hurts to think of how much she must be hurting right now, and I'm so dang far away and can't do anything.
This is the second loss I've experienced on Xanga, and I have to say that although this is just an online community, I feel really close to my subscribers and friends. I feel like I get to know them. I look forward to hearing about their experiences and adventures. This is very hard to deal with, real life or cyber life, loss just sucks.
I had my biopsy on Friday. Not something I care to repeat, but not horrible. Today I have a sonogram scheduled. I'm hoping that this will all get straightened out before I go back to work. This week both my family and hubby's family are coming so we'll have a full house, but I have to admit, that my heart will be heavier this week. I just want to reach out and give my friend a big long hug, and sit with her all night if she needs it. *sigh*. A very morose post I know, I guess it's just what's there today.
Hug your loved ones today. Let everyone you care about it know it.

Biopsy? Sonogram?! Oh, I hope everything is okay!
It is easy to become close to people on Xanga if they permit their real lives to show through - and the loss is every bit as difficult (if not more so, because of the whole distance obstacles) as in "real life". I'm so sorry to hear of your friend's loss. It must have been so shocking.
Did you just say the B word? Keep us updated!
I know what you mean about your online community. Heck, I met my BFF right here on Xanga. I am so sorry for your friend's loss.
OMG, you must be talking about sunnycaligurl?!? I was really upset when she stopped being on Xanga. I really like her and we share the same first name. Please tell me if it's her? That is just so terrible and shocking. He was also the sole bread winner, if it's her you're talking about. I just can't believe it, I wish I could hug her too!
Hugs girl. I've heard back from D and her mom. I'll be at the memorial on Friday. I promise I'll give her a hug specifically from you. {{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

i feel very close to a lot of my xanga friends too. sorry to hear about yours loossing her husband. at least he left doing something he loved. that's the way my uncle went out. he loved fixing things for people. and he was at a relatives house fixing something for them. they even took a picture moments before he had his fatal heart attack. he was smiling and happy as always.
i think you've been around more than most. you keep up pretty well with everyone i beleive. you are doing a good job.
RYC: He's been riding almost 2 years. He also has an old Honda Rebel that he needs to sell, so that's 3 bikes that he owns now. I told him he only has one backend! lol He is trying to sell the other 2 now that he has the monster machine.
I can hook you up with a Ninja 250!!!!
