  • Tag I'm it.

    OK, I haven't gotten around to my challenges, although both have some really interesting challenges going on. Please stop by and see what everyone else (who's not being a bump on a log and who is actually participating this time) are writing about at the Kween of the Queens site and Featured Grownups. Alright, enough advertising.

    I was tagged  by MAMA2GRLS and this one seemed pretty fun (and admittedly a no-brainer blog) so I'm going to go ahead and do it. Here are the ABCs of me - woot.

    A- Attached or single: Definitely attached - 21+ years - go us!

    B- Best Friend:  aha - a trick question right off the bat, ok here we go: 1. HUBBY, from there we have Zingy, Deanna B, Robin and Annette².

    C- Cake or Pie: Cake - definitely, although some good pie a la mode can't be beat!


    D- Day of choice: Tuesdays - NCIS is on, need I say more?

    E- Essential Item: Coffee.

    F- Favorite Color: Black

    G- Gummi Bears or Worms:  Can I get a cavity please? If I must choose, I choose Worms, assuming they are Gummi worms, if not then I would much rather eat gummi bears than worms.


    H- Hometown: Kinda hard since we moved around a lot, but I'm going with Tucson, AZ


    I- Indulgence(s): Romance novels, only occasionally, but I admit, I love a good cry and an easy read

    J- January or July:  Birthday is July, so I'm going with that one. Love me some gifts.

    K- Kids:  Yes, I have two I'm willing to trade for motorcycles......

    L: Life is Incomplete Without:  Ditto on the family and friends thing.  Add to that God, music, my computer and coffee. Alright, you can scratch off the last two...here I'll do it.

    M- Marriage Date: 1st wedding - June 14th, 1986, Church wedding September 13th, 1986 

    N- Number of Siblings: One sister, two half brothers.

    O- Oranges or Apples: Braeburns.

    P- Phobias or Fears: Being buried alive - aka claustrophobia

    R- Reason To Smile:  Coffee. (sorry, can you tell it's early and I haven't had enough coffee?)

    S- Season:  Fall. Yep -- LOVE fall - it's so nice to be back where there IS a fall. And a winter, and  a spring.

    U- Unknown Fact About Me:  I'm allergic to pineapple.

    V- Vegetarian or Oppressor of Animal:   Proud oppressor of Animal ~ I love me a good rib-eye steak. and some ribs, and brisket, salami, bacon, and a good roast, some grilled chicken........

    W- Worst Habit:  Blogging too much.

    X- X-Rays or Ultrasounds:  I've had both, prefer neither. Ultrasounds suck because of the full bladder thing, and Xrays -- hey it radiation, what's to like?


    Y- Your Favorite Food:  Pasta and chocolate. Not together...ewwww gross.

    Z- Zodiac: The Crab aka Cancer- couldn't you guess?

    On the homefront, Ducky made her first solo drives this weekend. She looked for her first excuse and found it Friday night, lol. She then drove her and her friend to the homecoming dance and out to Sonic afterwards. Although I was waiting up for her, I did very well and did not panic. *pats self on back* .

    Both girls had friends over for sleep overs on Saturday.

    And, since Hubby got a job he went out and bought his retirement present - which luckily has changed over the last 5 years from a white M3 (to match his silver and red ones) to a new set of golf clubs. Considerably cheaper! Alright, off to catch up, and then get some housework done...laundry time - what fun.

  • You know, my dream car is a red M3.  That would rock.  You can just send me a pic of yours and I can pretend it's mine.  hahaha

    Congrats on not panicking!  The first time my son drove off on his own I broke down and cried.  They grow up way too fast. 

    RYC:  The Tigers won!!  Woot!  Of course, I was not able to take any video because Jeff forgot his drum carrier and could not march the halftime show.  He was so upset.  He would not let me even touch the video camera.  hahaha  I took some pics though so I need to post some of those.

  • i've been laxed lately in doing my writing for the queens blogring. i just don't have any experience not worth exaggerating on at the moment i can't remember any of the ones that don't need any.

  • ryq: they were going for groceries *lol*  Dh didn't want to have to get up early (before the game) but he wanted something good to eat during the game.  It's not the first time he and Trey have taken off late night for groceies.

    If you don't mind me asking... How old are you?  I've always assumed you were my age and then I seen the picture of you the other day and that only assured me that I was right but I just noticed that you were married before I graduated from HS?  So either you got married WAY to young  :hammer:  or I'm off a little bit on my guess.

  • thank you for your comment. YES I did take the photo, it's Put In Bay, one of the Lake Erie Islands, We went on a boat ride yesterday.

  • Not far off, I'm 36 and I figured you were my age or maybe a year or so younger :big-smile:

  • :ROTFL:  It's funny how the older we get the more things like that "do for us"  The other night when dh and I were out I met a girl in the bathroom that spoke with a very pretty "jersey" accent. When I commented on it (yes I was in the bathroom talking to people, I told you we had fun!)  :ROTFL:  she mentioned that she'd had it for 35 years, I figured she was at least 40 ish, or older.  I felt "mucho" better about my own "aging process"

  • I am proud of you for not panicing. I still get nervous sometimes when I drive with them.
