Excuse me?
First off:
I was finished with the office. OK, OK so I was ALMOST finished with office. I only had two file boxes to go through and I was finito~ ! Guess what happened? Hubby was kind enough to find some more “office” boxes and plop them down. He also decided that the office area was the perfect place to unpack all the picture boxes. So now I have stacks and stacks of crap everywhere! Ugh. I so don’t want to deal with it.
On the other hand, the family / scrapbook room is finished. Well – in terms of being unpacked. I need to get a cover for the little loveseat we put in there (that we got for free – gotta love that), need a cover for a butterfly chair I’m putting in there, and I need to make some curtains for the bookshelves on which we stacked all the board games in order to hide the clutter. But – overall it looks much better. It’s a cozy little room and we have all taken to hangin’ out there in the morning before the girls go to school. The scrapbook area has two large work surfaces so the kids do their homework there, away from the computer, TV and other distractions. That was BTW their choice. They just gravitated towards it. Hubby was saying yesterday how he had thought those two rooms would be wasted space and never used. But when we looked at the house I knew exactly how I wanted them set up and could see it in my mind. I told him he just didn’t trust my visions.
I’m going to take some pictures soon of the entire place, a couple more things to get done first. It’s a nice place though and we are all enjoying it. I wish I had nicer furniture, but that will come. Now that we not going to bang it all over the world, I can afford to get some nice pieces.
Tomorrow we head for the Apple Festival in Hillsboro ~ I guess it’s really a big craft fair. I love craft fairs, and we are meeting my mom and dad there so it should be lots of fun. Then they are coming back to stay over the Labor Day week end. Our first house guests — WOOT!
Well I’m off to the gym ~ the medicine I’m taking hasn’t produced any results, I wonder how long it will take to start making a difference. Hopefully it will make a difference. I am tired a lot now. I think that’s from the medicine. Good news is that my blood pressure is already down. Does anyone know if raised blood pressure increases your temperature or makes you hot? Because I’m finally not dying of heat in the evenings and am even sleeping with covers again. Since my blood pressure is the only noticeable change I was wondering if that was the cause? Hmmmmm…. something new to google.
Alright, I’m off to work out – Happy Friday everyone!
Question of the day:
What is your decorating style?
*****EDIT******
Going through my subs I found out some very sad news. Camping_diva has left this world and moved on to a better place. She was a wonderful person and I loved reading about her adventures and her comments about mine. Her daughter Littlelo_63 is the same type of wonderful woman. Please keep their family in your thoughts as they deal with this. I am so saddened by this…. my heart hurts for their loss.

Menopause maybe LOL. I have been feeling that way some. Mom and I went to Cotsco and I had to go in the fruit and vegee cooler to cool off. Maybe your thyroid. I was always hot. Have a good weekend. :big-smile::dancingcow:
I’m more of a traditional person when it comes to decorating. I get a lot of hand me downs from mom, and she is a traditional person. Hahahahahahha
Seriously, I could not keep up with the modern stuff. It changes too much!
I’m SO jealous :hmmmmm: I can’t wait to pack up this house and start a new chapter of our lives. The house showing is insane, 19 showings in 21 days. :what: We’ve had one couple come back twice and they even talked to the neighbors, they want it bad but they’re waiting for their house to sell. I know it’ll happen when it’s supposed to but in the meantime it’s wearing me thin. The house we want is still on the market (we actaully have 2 we want but one we want BAD) so I’m keeping my fingers crossed and praying hard that an offer comes in soon. Sorry didn’t mean to take over your blog :big-smile: Guess I should have done this on my own space *lol*
Anyway, it sounds exciting, getting everything the way you want it. The family room/scrapbook room sounds great. I think I’m probably an eclectic decorator. I’m not that “into” country but I have a few antiques I wouldn’t trade for anything. Guess I’m a “mutt” kind of decorator. :ROTFL:
I don’t think I ever want to move again!…Don’t know how you’ve done it so often! Glad your meds have helped the hot thing, and i would think that you were having menopausal symptoms which can come from that Dx you were given. On the bright side, the meds seem to be working some after all?
I dont have a decorating “style” per se… I go for comfort and what speaks to me. So my apartment is just as ecclectic as I am. lol there will be time for more formal decorating once my children are grown and on their own. Until then, “functional” rules!
I am soo jealous if your going to a craft fair. I love them and never want to leave. I am glad your mom and dad are coming so you can pamper them. I dont have a scrapbooking area. I need to set one up too. Moving all the craft supplies I have have been keeping me very busy. I have more than people know.
I am a country type style. I love the style of decorating. Although my children try dirty style.
Hope the meds start helping soon.
Have a great weekend.
i think the blood pressure does make you hotter. there’s a man i work with that feels faint when his is low and gets cold so i beleive that would be the opposite.
i have no decorating style. if i was able to decorate my own room though i would have one solid color probably white or green or purple and matching curtains. And as little furniture as possible. i am always running into things sso it’s safer that way!
:so-cool: so glad you got your room done
i’m sad to hear about camping diva…..she was a sweet woman
Sorry to hear about your friend. Enjoy your workout!
Trish
:so-sad: Camping Diva. I really feel like I lost a friend!
that is sad…….I had a close online friend die very unexpectedly a few years ago. It’s hard to let them go when you just expect them to be there@
Thank you so much for your warm comments of my mom’s death (Camping_Diva). She died of a heart attack at the Minnesota State Fair. Luckily, my dad and I were with her at the time but it was very sudden and totally unexpected. My family is still in shock and trying to deal with grief. Your warm comments mean so much to my family right now. Thank you so much for being her friend.
If that’s the case I am in BIG trouble! Actually I think my blood pressure medicine makes me feel a lot warmer. If I run out and skip it for a few days I feel much cooler.
Decorating style…I don’t think I have a style, really. Many years back, when it was “in” I had the “country” look going on, but now I just try to go for classic yet cozy, I guess. Most of my rooms are just a combination of whatever I have been able to cobble together over the years. If I had the money they would look very different, but as it is…
Hey, pictures are always good! Looking forward to them!
I am just in shock over the news about Jo Ann. She was always going and doing and having such a good time. I know her family must be devestated. I will miss her.
I am so sad at Joann’s passing
