  • 6 down — way too many left

Our bedroom is starting to look more like a sleeping area and less like a storage place. As is often the case, the Master bedroom is one of the last to get unpacked. I typically start with the kitchen, I like to have it about done by the time the movers leave. Then we work on the living spaces and the girls’ rooms – Bathrooms get done in between all that. Master bedroom and Office are left to the last. Hubby has been working on the garage. Gotta have the “man cave” sorted out relatively early on as well…. ha ha ha ha ha. Course, he doesn’t really it call it that. Thank goodness. I would have to beat him.

The girls went to a Youth event yesterday with the friends they met at church. They are also wanting to go to a concert on the 25th. Hopefully it will work out.

I spent a good portion of yesterday engrosed in Eclipse by Stephanie Meyer. Although I love Edward, I was a huge Jacob Black fan, until this book. Now not so much, he was kind of a jerk in this book.  Now only a year to wait till the next one —————– AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

You know what I found out on my trip to CA? That wind up flashlights are a potential source of endless amusement. There’s something so satisfying about winding and winding. First you have that wonderful winding sound. That’s enough to satisfy just about anybody. But then you get to make endless circles with your hand and the final amusement of clicking a button and being rewarded for all your efforts with a brightly shining light.

I have discovered that I am one of those poeple that require constant activity. Usually it’s my feet or hands that are moving. I’ve noticed my hubby is the same, he is always fidgeting. Suprisingly, my girls both inherited these tendencies. This of course means that gadgets like wind up flash lights are more than an emergency tool – they are instead a source of entertainment. Objects that both occupy and amuse. That’s good stuff right there!

    Question of the day:

    fidgeter or sit still type?

  • definitely a sit still

  • I am typically a fidgeter. Most of the time I am stay-at-home and don’t work, but I can’t sit still. I am always cleaning or organizing something if I am home. The only time I sit for extended periods is if I’m on the net or reading a book.

  • I am a fidgeter!! even now I’m tapping my feet. :dancingcow::dancingcow:

  • I am a sloth…..I can remain motionless for HOURS! LOL! But hubby, well, he says if he ever gets a tattoo it will say, “Born to Fidget!” I say it would just say . because he couldn’t sit still long enough to GET a tattoo!

    Good luck getting settled!

  • I cannot sit still.  I fidget constantly!!

RYC:  Yes, I finished it last week!  It was AWESOME!  I’m like you though.  I was really aggravated with Jacob Black.  He came off as being a jerk a lot of the time, didn’t he?  And Edward giving in and letting him be that way.  If I could love Edward even more, I think I did with Eclipse.  Now COME ON BREAKING DAWN!!!!

  • Fidget fur sure! :dancingcow: :dancingcow: :dancingcow:

  • Lately sit still but my brain fidgets. J.B. fidgets so I fidget to make him stop. hahaha!

  • :tongue:People say I am a fidgeter, because I rejust myself in the seat all the time. Or I bounce my feet a lot. It drives my sister nuts, she says “will you just sit still already”, hehe. I think I am not that much of a fidget. My hubby gets up from a movie at least twice. I have just gotten use to it.

    LOL at the cartoon…:ROTFL:

  • Fidgeter, for sure!!!

I keep hearing about Eclipse. I’ll have to pick up a copy.

  • Unfortunately, I tend to be a “sit still” type by inclination.  I have heard that people that fidget can burn a significant amount of calories that way!  So now when I think about it I purposely try to fidget, but I bet my body knows that I don’t really mean it so I don’t get any calorie credit.

  • Sounds like your making process :big-smile:  and I am a total figit! :big-smile:

  • I likes em wind em up flashlights.    I am a fidgeter and a sit stiller.

  • :frog:  Fidgeter.  With all that watching the flick (– flick — flick –), and all, I would stop watching TV shows: that show what one would really like to take his own time doing.

  • I don’t mind the packing part or even the moving part…It’s finding a place for everything afterwards that drives me crazy…You have my sympathy! =)

BTW – I actually sit pretty still when I want to, but the flashlight thing sounds like FUN! =)

    Hugs!

  • i actually have been to germany before. it was wonderful even though i was sick. i just can’t see spending so much money going when i don’t make so much to begin with. last time we priced just a flight was over 1000. she wanted to do it in may it was prime season. so im glad she is getting married now and i will have time to save without crunching myself into a bind.
