Quiz for today:
What do you get when you have 2 preteen girls,
2 teen girls
1 premenopausal woman
(2 of the above are suffering from their monthly visitor)
1 hubby who is practical and sensible
and one itty bitty teeny tiny orphaned kitty that is about 5 days old. Eyes still closed, found by landlord abandoned.
That’s right! You get 5 females cuddled around this tiny creature feeding it with a miniature bottle every hours or so, wiping its bum to stimulate it’s bowels, and cuddling it to keep it warm. Meanwhile sensible and practical hubby makes trips to vets for replacement milk and said baby doll sized bottle, suggests calls to vets and humane society for advice and repeatedly admonishes his 3 girls not to get too attached because we can’t keep this one if it even makes it. (According to the professionals, odds are against us).
Needless to say, we have a new kitten.
We hope all goes well. He/She is now eating out of the bottle, had several bowel movements and sleep for several hours cuddled in my arms like a baby. We are thinking that its name should be “Miracle”. Although we have to find the Elvish translation for that — since we have Pippin and Rashwe (Elvish for trouble) we need to go with the flow.

What a cute little kitty! She looks a lot like my Gilda Kitty, whom we took in when she was 6 weeks old. Now she’s an 8-year old big, fat cat! Good Luck, hope she makes it.

Awwww…what a little puddin’! I have four cats and they are my babies: Samwise, Mummah, Rose, and Daniel. I don’t know what I would do without them. Thanks for sharing the pics and the funny story. :sunny:

Awwwwww!! Oh, I do so hope that you and the girls are successful! No matter what happens, though, you have shown this little sweetie-pie lots of love and a much better life than it would have known. awww…too cute! How fortunate for this little kitten to have found by your family. I imagine your husband see’s the writing on the wall if this kitten pulls through. I hope he/she does for your children’s sake. It could be really hard on them if it doesn’t.
ryc: we were allowed to watch a local airshow from the parking lot behind where my husband works. (GM) We were all sittng around talking when one of the kids pointed. We heard nothing-but saw it coming across the sky. This stealth is just amazing to me-of course I had my camera for the Blue Angels but this was what had me drop my jaw. Being Airforce, I wasn’t surprised you knew-but it almost looks fake in the picture.
Soft hearted bunch………..very sweet! I have a friend who raised 2 kittens in on the bottle and they both suvived and did well. I hope yours will too. It is impossible not to get attached, they are just too darn cute!
From your question about the dial up loading, the page comes up fairly quickly most of the time. But if there are lots of pictures and I have an expecially slow connection that day, it is frustrating and I have a tendency to wait until I’m a work and have the faster connection…on my breaks of course!
Am currently tying to type with huge cat in my arms now too…thinks I should be her bed if I’m typing…rotten cat. That baby is TOOO cute…hope she does make it…so miracle or hope would fit really well…any brothers or sisters? Good luck and will be praying for baby cat!!!
