  • Well it’s been a productive weekend and week beginning!

Friday night the teens all ended up here — about 7 of them. What was funny was there was like 4 guys and 3 girls. Silver_Fangz wanted them all to spend the night!! Hah! Right!!! Like that’s going to happen. Only one of the girls had a boyfriend in the group, the rest were all just friends… but as I told Silver_Fangz….”you have way outgrown boy-girl sleepovers”. She protested and called me evil…..

    Muahahahahahahahhhaaaa

Sunday we hiked ~ Lots of fun and we ended up with tons of strawberry guava which I need to make into a drink today. Strawberry guava is the best! I love it! We also collected some shampoo ginger, which you can use to… you guessed it — shampoo your hair!

Monday – We shopped for a bathing suit for Silver_Fangz. 6 months ago this would have been an exercise in depression, but after her successful weight loss she ended up with an adorable Pink bikini halter top and a pair of black and pick board shorts. Very cute. We needed these for the next part of our day…. a picnic at that church and some time at the beach.

Tuesday was cleaning day for me — Cleaned my room including completely disassembling the stinky cat box, washing it and starting fresh. Vacuumed, sweep, did all the dishes (which after a week end in which we only were home to eat was pretty considerable), Washed the Escape inside and out, put away laundry and tie-dyed some shirts for hubby’s relay run on Sat. (The Race to Hana – 6 man team each running 9 miles in 3 , 3 mile stints.)

I guess the biggest news of the week end —

We SOLD the jeep! I am happy, and sad.  I like the Escape and it makes much more sense, but still… I will miss my jeep!

On the bright side, since we named the Escape the Yellow Submarine we have decided to run with that. Hubby is going to make a periscope that attaches to an antenna. We are buying one of those propeller hitch balls, and we are going to have a decal made for the back window that says “We all live in a ……” and we are going to get a personalized lisence plate yllwsub. What do you think? Sounds fun huh?

I’m off to have some more fun and excitement, cleaning and doing my other fun filled activities for the day. Hope everyone has a great day ~

    Question of the day:

    Favorite fruit?

  • Sounds like a good weekend and week so far.  Sorry to see your jeep go.  I still want one.  CJ7 where all the doors come off and the breeze hits you in the back of the head.

RYC:  Thanks for the help with the background.  I wanted to put some really fun fall thing on it but I guess you have to be premium to do that.  The smoke is starting to dissipate but it is still stinky.  OMG I forgot about Pop Rocks.  I loved those and Candy cigs, I thought I was the coolest.  LOL

  • grapes.
    me likes the grapes.

gonna be gone for 5 days or so on a trip to michigan. Pa is turning the big Eight-Oh. Gonna miss me?

  • Sorry about the Jeep, we hoave one on Island, our friend in Kihei stores it for us while we are gone, but we are going to look at storing it near the airport, I feel bad taking up a parking space in my friends garage, and frankly, having it near the airport would be easier for us…know any such place that charges monthly?

I love the yellow submarine thing, it will be too cute!

Swim suit shopping with a teen….YIKES, double horror, and my Sarah is a tiny little thing but she is never happy with the way swim suits look on her, Mike says she should just wear a burlap bag and be done with it!…LOL

  • favorite fruit? strawberries…thats kind of plain but I love fresh strawberries

  • Favorite fruit varies for me.  I generally like best whatever fruit is out of season and unavailable at the moment…just ask me sweet hubby, who spent three different Januaries searching out nectarines and plums for his wife who was suffering from morning sickness, but felt sure she could eat if only she had nectarines or plums, LOL!  I tend to prefer berries (blueberries and red raspberries) or soft fruits like apricots, nectarines, and plums, though.

  • fruit of the looom!!!!

    yeah.

    UNDERWEAR!!!!

  • Plums.  The harder and tarter the better.  I know you thought I was going to say “twoberry.”  Fooled you.

Glad you had a good productive week.

  • Favorite fruit… strawberries!  Yum!

ryc:   LOL!  Like your addition to the quiz.  :coolman:

  • Sounds like a fun weekend!  My favorite fruit is raspberries!  Fresh ones are good…my favorite is a warm raspberry pie with vanilla ice cream.

  • I love that you can go hiking and gather things that you need at home.  That just amazes me.  I love the pictures you’ve given us! AND the new layout.

Favorite fruit?  Strawberries, most definitely….especially when covered with chocolate. ;)   Or in strawberry shortcake.  Or whipped cream….
