  • Smiles in amazement and pleasure! Shane is gone! Huzzah!! Finally! Have to give Terry props for judging how to dole out the “love”. Even though my mean spirited side would have probably kicked in and I would have sent Shane away with nada… Terry was the better person and did the right thing. And, have to give Ciree props once again. Girlfriend is running the Survivor show. Only problem that Ciree, Danielle and Aras now face is with every vote, every time they band together and stab someone in the back, they give another vote to Terry. Especially with Shane, since he asked them flat out and Terry gave him a whole day with his son. Course, Shane is crazy, flat out lunatic, so logic doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with it.

I so forgot to tell you guys….

My daughter is a bonafide, fire department called, busted forever arsonist and pyro. Her and her little friend were playing on a hill behind our house where they found a book of matches. Anyone smell smoke?? They neighbors did and called the FD and the little rent-a-cop, who came and busted them. They took their names and addresses, however didn’t follow up with a home visit — . They came home wild-eyed and looking guilty. They gave me this cock a mamie story, which I immediately assumed was fabricated. I had them turn out their pockets and grilled them like a bad detective in a cop show. No avail. They were sticking to their story that they “came across” a fire and tried to put it out on their own.

Fast forward 7 hours. Squirt gets up from bed and comes out to the living room where I am working on school work. She looks distressed and ill. I ask what’s up, she say “I have to tell you something”. Out came the whole story. We decided to tell friends mom after a few days of letting friend have an opportunity to come clean as well. Guess what? She opted to not do that. However she got busted as well. Mom asked friend if she was coming over to play with Squirt to which she replied truthfully “no, she’s on restriction”. To which normally obtuse mom put two and two together with the speed of lightening and asked “Why is she on restriction?” Friend replied “A called you already didn’t she!!” and then refused to talk and went and sulked in the bedroom. Mom promptly called me and got the full story. She was extremely disappointed in both girls for lying to her, and felt that her trust was ruined with both of them. Personally, I haven’t trusted friend in a long time. Way too many lies she’s been caught in time and time again. Oh well, Friends mom can live in her little delusions, I’ll live in mine.

Anyway’s Squirt is grounded, has some extra chores she has to do and I’m tracking down some fire-safety related community service for her. Any ideas?

She’s also getting teased and harassed by sister and dad about being an arsonist, I think that she’ll probably not do something along these lines again. I continue to give her props for coming forward and doing the right thing by telling me the truth. I knew they had started that fire, but I couldn’t prove it. I would have though, and then… she would have been in REAL trouble!

Ok, I’m off to try to get some more reading done. I’m feeling nauseous again today, and headachy — so we’ll see what I actually get done. Have a great day and great weekend. Hasta!

Oh yeah!! Happy Cinco de Mayo!

  • I just wonder what my children will put me through in the coming years…
*runs away to the safety of my pink padded cell*
I think visiting burn victims at a hospital might seal the deal on the “never happen again” thing.

  • ^ ^ ^ good idea on the burn unit   :nono:

hope you get to feeling better :sunny:

thanks ….   i mean it

  • yeah the burn unit is a good one. Glad to hear she came and told ya the truth. Im sure she wont do that again. Kids they can get into everything and its never a dull moment with them. Hope ya feel better soon.

  • Wow!! Bless your heart!! I thank the heavens that she wasn’t hurt. I know a man, that as a small child, got a hold of his dad’s lighter and lit it. He was only around 6 or 7 yrs old and wearing PJ’s. The pj’s caught on fire and burned him on 90% of his body. Now, as a 37 year old man, more than half his face, all of his neck, and arms are solid burn scars. He won’t wear shorts or muscel shirts because of his scars, so he must be scarred really bad under his clothing. My daughter met this man, years ago, and saw what playing with fire can do. It scared her pretty bad, to the point that she tells her brother about him. So, I agree, the burn unit is a good idea. I hope that things work out for you and this problem will never rise again. My heart goes out to you and your family!

  • I think you handled the fire thing perfectly. I am not sure about fire related comunity service. They won’t let her clean up after a fire ( too dangerous ) oh wait I have one yay, how about people that are homeless due to a fire. She could gather some emergency clothes, toys, or make a home cooked meal ( if they are in a hotel ). The burn unit is a good one, but might be a little too tramatising.

  • That is cool she came forward and told you. Maybe she could take a little fire saftey class or something. Or maybe the fire dept has something she could do.

  • Oh yeah, Survivor! Shane reacted better then I thought he would getting voted off. Maybe the nic fits has wore off, lol. Cirre I hope she wins, she is good.
