Hello Again — I’m Backkkkk….
Well it’s been a long time. I’ve been soooo busy, but I got it all done. Have final this week and next — and then a few days off. Whew!! I’m really looking forward to a break.
This one course has been kicking my hiney. An assessment class. It’s nothing by tests, tests, and more tests. Jeesh, like that’s what we all want, to learn about tests all day right???
I spent three solid days glued to the computer, typing furiously, stopping only to eat and … well you know….
In the end I had a blurry, bloodshot eyes with permanetly scarred retina from the glow of the computer screen. I have bed sores on my butt from spending three days in a computer chair. The chair was midly comfortable the first day, moderately uncomfortable the second day, and designed by the Marques de Sade on the third day. In addition my fingers are disfigured and I can only hope that some day, some day, I’ll be able to straighten them out again. My head was throbbing, my throat was dry from lack of hydration and my ears were ringing. (ok, that’s my choice — I love listening to loud music while I work, it helps me to think).
I spent a day (or two) vegging out, drinking lots of water and taking Tylenol every 4-6 hours. I’m just about recovered.
Ok, I know, I know — who am I kidding, I asked for this and if I want my masters degree than I have to suck it up right!!! Besides, I brought this on myself by not keeping on top of my work instead of goofing off with my folks! But none the less….. I felt like I needed to try to garner some sympathy by listing my woes.
Did it work??
I can come up with more…………. you should have seen the condition of the house!! Just that was more than enough to make me cry.
Alright…. enough from the poor pathetic me….. (do you feel sad for me yet?). I just wanted to say hello to everyone.
Oh I did want to let you guys know some things that have been happening around here. First for those of you who may not have heard we have been having tons of flooding. Course most all of it is on O’ahu and Kuai. We have been very fortunate here. O’ahu has had tons problems, including a recent result of the saturated grounds and the high winds… a telephone pole was pulled down creating a dominio effect pulling down 11 others. In addition to that disaster, an air ambulance crashed into a local car dealership here. The pilot and 2 paramedics lost their lives. Cars exploded and burned, it’s so sad to drive by and see the scorced buildings and burnt up cars and know that something truly terrible happened there. We are about to get more rain…. great. just what we need.
Ok, I’m off, keep us all in your thoughts, we don’t want to float any further away then we are! Take care all!
later!

I know how you feel! For the next few days, I too, will be glued to this computer…creating worksheets, exams, ect. I’m lucky to get one comment on my xanga because I never have time to return them. I used to get at least 2 or 3 a day, but now I get one a week. It’s my own fault!!! Like you, I’m always sitting here at this computer, but I’m usually doing my work. I haven’t been on IM in over 3 months and haven’t sent off an e-mail in forever! When I do leave an entry, I’m usually aggrivated and only have a few moments. Xanga is more like my diary, than a website. I keep it up dated just so I can go back in time and see what craziness my life has been in…lol…Watch out for those butt sores! They suck!…giggles…at night my lower back is killing me from sitting here! I look like a 90 year old lady, all humped over, looking for the ben-gay!…rotfl…hope you have a good day!
Wendy
:sunny: thanks for the update. i’ve missed ya
:coolman: oh…..SECOND!!!! :fun:
You have my sympathies!!! I, too, will be getting my masters SOMEDAY. Even now I’m like the first entry, my lower back KILLS me at night from sitting at the computer or in class ALL day.
ryc: I do sports photography on the side. It’s seasonal…so not enough to make a living by no means. I’m hoping the baseball leagues will hire me this summer to do theirs. Would be NICE! This soccer season I’ll make enough to pay for an extra class I want to take. Have a good day! Breathe every now & then! Ha!
Thank gawwwd your back! Do you know how boring xanga land is without you??
noone cares when I stalk them. I think I need to find a new hobby! :whocares:
Thank you for reminding me why I don’t want to go back and get my masters. Good luck with everything. I’m so sorry about the flooding.
Hi…thanks for coming by and for your comment. I remember those days when I was working on my Master’s Degree and all the midnight oil that was burned! Get some rest!
Good for you on working on your masters. That is so sad about the helicopter crash. I know when we were on the big island it rained off and on all day. But when we were on Oahu, it hardly rained. So that is wierd to hear about all the rain. We as you saw on my site got a lot of snow, and more is coming. thanks for stopping by.
:spinning: all this master stuff has my wee head a spinnin.lol…..it was worth the time with the folks though so no sympathy for ya there lol..heard there was a dam or spillway that gave due to all the flooding and several people were injured and perhaps killed…..It caused the needed worry for you , the hubby and my beautimus nieces that I say…enough get your arses back to dry land…and trust me we have plenty here in NM to share …major drought although the snow sturday and sunday was very nice even if the kids did wake me with squeals of delight at the butt crack of dawn so they could go out in the feezing cold…….I figure they wake me on my only day off at 530AM they deserve to have frostbite by noon hehehehehehe jk……but truly they were out in it by 600Am sigh remember the days? oh wait that was someone elses life we grew uop in Tucson desert!!!!!!!!!! miss ya ….
