• Alright, just a quick update today. First someone asked why it was called “Divorce Highway”. It because it is a very difficult, and very long drive. Inevitably, someone gets cranky which could lead to arguments. They even sell “I Survived the Road to Hana” T-Shirts all over the place (my mom and dad bought one for themselves). Dad really had a tough time as he hates to be in the car even to go down to the corner store, imagine that for ohhh about six hours… , that’s fun!

  
  

   

  
  

  Today we are headed for the beach. Don’t have any other specific plans, we will play it by ear. I know I have a ton of school work to do. Hope I can crank it out in the next couple of days.

  
  

   

  
  

  Mom and I went shopping several times in the last couple days. Got some needed stuff, but mostly, just enjoyed hanging out together. Most the time we were by ourselves. We when had the kids we had to fend off constant attacks to buy Starbucks and Jamba.

  
  

   

  
  

  My kids are addicted. One to Jamba, one to Starbucks. How on earth did I let this happen?? I didn’t even see the warning signs:

  
  

        the constant drooling when passing a center with Starbucks or Jamba,

  
  

        the sudden loss of spendable income,

  
  

        the dazed expression when they manage to convince someone to take them to get their “fix”,

  
  

        the build up of gourmet coffee and smoothie cups in the trash…..
