  • Dreams, dreams, dreams

I had a very strange dream last night. In it I was working as part time help to the teacher I student taught with. She was freaking out cause the lunch schedule she developed for the week was missing and her class didn’t know what to make for lunch. She felt sabotaged. In the end I tried to run away, through the back door, but I was barefoot and had to stop for my skater shoes (wth?). I had told two other teachers off for being uncaring and blamed them for the breakdown of the educational system. VERY strange.

I’ve always had extremely vivid dreams. Hubby claims that I dream in technicolor. I frequently remember my dreams and often remember more than one per night.

When hubby and I were newlyweds, I dreamt almost every night. The bad thing (for him) was that my insecurities would come out in my dreams. I would often wake up in the middle of the night, distraught over some dream wronging, and smack him a good one. This was very unsettling  for him (as you can imagine), since he was peacefully sleeping next to me without a care in the world. To be awoken by being hit and yelled at I’m sure is traumatic. One night I woke up and smacked him. He woke up and asked “what was that for”, I replied “you left me on It Road”. “and there’s all these dinosaurs there”. He of course felt the need for more information and repeated “dinosaurs” to which I assured him “it’s ok honey, their all dead”.  Now I still remember this dream and can clearly see the green street sign that said “IT Road”. I can also clearly see the long road lined on either side by huge skeletons of a variety of dinosaurs. He left me there after flirting with a blonde, red-head, and black haired girl at a party we’d attended. (since I’m a brunette I don’t think you have to be Freud to figure that one out). I always wondered what the dinosaurs might mean…. but I’m pretty sure I don’t want to know.

As for hubby………. he was up the rest of the night trying to piece together exactly what had happened and wondering what on earth I was talking about. I on the other hand was blissfully sleeping with out a care in the world. I think it serves him right, after all he did flirt and then abandon me on a It road with all those dinosaurs……………….

    Do you remember dreams?

  • I used to remember my dreams all the time and would have very vivid ones too.  Then I had a baby (13 years ago)  and well I just sleep now cause I am too tired to dream.  When I do dream they are still vivid but I can’t remember them when I wake up.  Very rarely.  I also used to talk in my sleep alot but only do that some now.  Hubby will interact with me when I do and ask me things or answer my questions.  It is pretty funny.  The other day I dreamt about towels and blankets and then asked him where they were and could he hold them.  He said “OK”.  Weird huh.

RYC:  I will let you know where this magical town is and we can all live there.  We can call it Xangaland.  LOL.  I thought Hawaii would be like that.  Calm, everyone riding bikes.  Guess not. There has to be a place out there somewhere

  • I remember dreams sometimes.  Lately I have been having dreams that are set in my childhood home, but for some reason, I am raising my kids there?!?  Odd, because that isn’t anywhere I would ever want to return to.  Oh well.  RYC:  BRAT = bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast or tea, depending on who you hear it from.  It’s supposed to be a good start back to eating after a tummy bug, or during/after diarrhea.  Apparently the bananas and the pectin in the applesauce tend to constipate, unlike other fruits, and the rice and toast or tea are gentle enough for a sick stomach to handle.

Oh, and if your daughter lived with me, she would have to submit a written proposal outlining how this blow torch would be used, and how it would benefit her and/or the rest of the family.  And if the thing is expensive, she’d also have to include a budget section describing how it should be fitted into the family budget.    So maybe she won’t like me quite so much now, LOL!  (And yes, my oldest daughter occasioally has to submit written proposals.  The most recent one under consideration is for her own cell phone.  But that has been temporarily tabled, as she is only 11…)

  • absolutely!! I actually solve problems.. esp..etc! I blogged about it one day!

    never smacked anyone tho.. LOL

  • newsflash: your a freak!
Sadly though I am one too. I have hit hubby once or twice too. But wouldn’t you if you were married to him?
The worst for me is the really sad dreams that make me wake up with tears. hate those ones.

  • I don’t remember dreams often, but I have a feeling the It Road Dinosaurs are going to stick with me for a while.

  • hahaha.

    ha.

    ha.

    he deserved it.

  • I dream CRAZY dreams!!  I dream of rain alot…which is supposed to mean some sort of spiritual cleansing…I usually look up the meaning of my dreams on http://www.dreammoods.com  thats a pretty good site.  I dream of weddings ALOT.  Sometimes mine, sometimes not.  Always look for certain colors in your dreams…sometimes they have meaning too.  Maybe none of it really matters…but why in the world would I dream of such strange things if there were no meanings to them?  I also dream of a phone ringing alot & I either can’t answer it or don’t want to.  Last night I dreamed that I was in a bar & we were flying through space?????  WTH??????  CRAZY!!!

  • RYC:  Looking forward to reading it.  I mean, how many uses can there BE for a blow torch?

  • So I was site hoping and saw that you are a AF wife and I have to ask what do you think about it really. I am not one but I am dating a guy in the AF that I dearly love and would marry in a heart beat and go anywhere with. I am just curious from a wife’s point of view on life in the military.

  • yes i dream alot too and remember them as well. And yes i have hit hubby to from a dream lol! Funny how that is.

  • Hey, thanks for the visit and comment. I am not completely sure I answered those questions honestly enough to come out THAT well on the test though. Anyways, hope you have a great week, and I’ll do my best to have fun in Offutt.

  • Yes I remember my dreams all the time. Sometimes I have dreams about my hubby too. I tell him some of dreams and he hugs me and says honey it is only a dream honey. I know it is but they can be so real.
