Tonight is the big night! Silver_Fangz meeting for the student ambassador program through People to People. It’s an amazing opportunity for her. I hope we can make everything fall in place.
I obviously survived yesterday. Nothing else that threatened my safety happened but I did have some other difficulties. For instance: I had taken out meat to cook in the crock pot Tues. night.
About noon — I suddenly realize I haven’t start it yet! I go promptly to the kitchen to make my family their dinner. I put the meat in the crock pot and turn it on. As I’m adding the rest of the ingredients… I have to use the can opener, I unplug the crock pot and plug in the can opener. I’m sure you can see where this heading.
Needless to say about 3:00 PM my youngest dd says “mom, it’s not cooking”. Me: “WHAT????” Her: “I know why, it’s not plugged in!” Me: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!
Can you guess what we are having for dinner tonight??
My friend was having a true Wednesday too. But dd who swears that “bad things happen on Wednesdays” had a great day yesterday. Her explanation? Having her braces removed on Tuesday overcame the bad things that would have happened on a normal Wednesday.
If only all things in life could be that simple.
PS Finally received my grade on the last paper — the analytical one I was shooting myself for over using too many sources…

I’m glad that I’m not the only one who is spacing out these days. Good job trouble shooting that problem little mechanic! Things always work better when plugged in. Remember that!
congrats on the paper… 4 days being home from his TDY and my hubby decides that he’s going to Illinois to visit his friend for deer season over there and left that night… it was WEDNESDAY…
he will be back on Saturday though, then gone again sunday….. I won’t see him again until Tuesday night….
Great job on the paper. I bet dd is right about the braces. She must not conduct any negative energy now that they are off. Sorry about your dinner. Did you have Pizza? LOL. That is what I would do if that happened. Order Pizza.

WTG on the paper! So what are you studying? Grad school or undergrad? I finished grad school nearly over a decade ago, but I still remember it as one of the most fun things I have ever done. Every so often, I think once I get my little people educated, I’d like to go back to school again. But by then I’ll be past 50, so maybe not. Anyhow, good job on the paper!! :)
