We’re reading this aloud. We are now on Chapter 15. Of course, Silver_Fangz and I have already read it all the way through. We finished it several days after we got it!
Well it was a great week end. The retreat was very nice. Although a little weird to share a room with 3 other women. I’m pretty solitary, so I was uncomfortable some of the time. All in all I am glad I went. I had been really debating, mostly because of room sharing thing. I guess it was where I was supposed to be.
Today I spent finishing up my homework from last week as it was due tonight! Yikes! Nothing like putting it off till the last possible second.
I had a major block today, just couldn’t put the words together. Not my best work, but it’s done! I just couldn’t focus on Skinner’s Operant Learning theories. Don’t know why!!!
Tonight we went to a mandatory meeting for the youth rally silver_fangz will be attending (albeit reluctantly) this week end in Honolulu. I think she will have a good time. After all… 100′s of teenagers, in Honolulu with no parents. OK, OK , they’re with their church group, but still…. can’t be too much of bummer… right??? I wish my parents had sent me to stuff like that. Besides if it works out I plan on letting her go to the UK and Ireland with People to People. That’s cool right??
Sometimes being a parent is tough. It’s the best job I’ve ever had, but the hardest and definitely the most time consuming!
Squirt has recently turned 12 and it’s official. The drama and melodrama has started with a vengeance. I love my girls and I love the fact that they are strong willed and independent, but it definitely makes my job as a parent much more challenging. Lately Squirt has taken to correcting everyone about everything. I remember we went through this with Silver_fangz too.
Man I hate having to repeat some of this stuff. Some of it is good. I love when they start developing their more mature sense of humor. I love when they start thinking on a deeper level and start making connections between their knowledge and the outside world. Every age has been a great age, but I find I really do appreciate the people they are becoming as they get older. Really cool kids. I think the next 5 – 10 years are going to be really interesting. I can’t wait!
Well it’s late and I burned out my brain earlier today trying to get my final assignments done, so I’m off for some much needed REM sleep.
Tomorrow is a fresh day. The coffee is set up and the bed is waiting. Until tomorrow…………….
