  • ” It’s good to be back in Tolnedra again. I love the smell of deceit, corruption and intrigue. ”
Silk, aka Prince Kheldar, aka Ambar of Boktor ~ The Belgariad

Sitting here listening to hubby play the guitar. Silver_Fangz is doing homework on the couch, and Squirt is in her bedroom playing with her friend.

The TV is off and the silence from our biggest addiction is wonderful.

I’ve thought several times lately about turning off the cable. We watch way too much TV. Just can’t face it though…. I would miss my shows too. Like Survior and NCIS. Maybe though I would be able to work through my reading list and actually do some of the reading I really want to get to.

There are several classics that I have never read that I would really like to. As well as some modern stuff that I’ve been working my way through. Recently I been working on some Clive Cussler and I and love Dan Brown. Not to mention a new book I have by my favorite author: David Eddings. Plus there’s the new book by Christopher Paolini ~ Eldest.  Whew!! I’m tired just writing about them!

Too Many Books… So Little Time.

Not to mention that my classes start next week and any free time I have currently is about to evaporate.

Well…. hubby keeps telling me that getting my master’s will pay off and to just hang in there.

Easy for him to say…. he’s not taking Master’s level courses.

Oh… well, I’m sure it will all be fine. It will pay off. I do believe in fairies… I do, I do….. I do believe in fairies… I do, I do.

    That’s it, it’s official.

    I’ve cracked.

    mauahhhahhhahahhha………………………………………………

  • I thought about turning off the cable too. We pay an enormous amount for 72 channels and watch 5 of them. I think D’ might get some sort of Satellite deal next year. I need to watch my Survivor show so I guess there is no turning it off completly.
What kind of classic books are you looking to read? I read a few classics here and there but mostly my entertainment stems from the kind of books where people die in the first few pages. My attention span is puny so sudden, horrible deaths seem to grab it back quickly.
Good luck with your upcoming classes. Boy, you are gonna be busy!
