Well I finally did it. I made the commitment to open myself up to public ridicule and opinions. I joined several blog rings. Hopefully I will NOT regret this action!
A lot of nothing has happened for the last several days. I did manage to enroll for two of my courses for my Masters. HUZZAH! The excitement is under whelming. I think for the next year and 1/2 or so I will be very busy. Between my classes, Squirt’s home schooling, managing a home, two teenagers (ok so technically one is still a pre-teen), a husband, a cat and a wild dog….. Yikes!!!
Not to mention that I still need time to scrap and goof off. Matter of fact the girls are off tomorrow so maybe it’s a good day to head to the beach. There is supposed to be a continued South swell so that means some good boogie boarding at our favorite beaches.
Today we are headed to Lahaina to meet up with the hubbies. The men are playing the Plantation course today. You know the fancy one that the big tournaments are played at? Yeah…. that’s easy on budget..
Ahh well… I told hubby this was his last big hurrah, since we really have to tighten the belt in order to keep up with the continuing rise of high prices here in paradise. Evidently it’s paradise for the retailers too…….. If he chooses not to tighten his belt; well the insurance money will come in handy and then I’ll be able to sell his BMW’s. So either way it will work out!
Gasoline is up to $4 / gallon for regular but we are supposed to get a break next week. I know in some places it’s worse so I just try to be thankful. Especially since we can afford it and there are others who can’t. I’m trying to limit my driving though.
This trip to Lahaina is not going to help in that department. It will be nice to get out and relax with some nice folks though. So I guess I should go make sure we will have the money for that ~ that means balancing the checkbook.

4 dollars a gallon! Holy crap!!! Paradise sure has a hefty pricetag. Nebraska is at 2.48. Come to Nebraska and save a few bucks. hint hint
