  • Observation day – fun.

So today was observation day by the principal. Last observation went well. This one was boring as heck. The lesson was boring – World history and about the Articles of Confederation. Not a lot to do there. The lesson on Thursday will be infinitely more interesting, there is an actual interactive activity for the students to participate in. Much more interesting than the cut and dried – read discuss lesson that we did to day.

    C’est la vie eh?

We’ll see what he thinks tomorrow.

Did I mention that I love my job? But that I hate 5th graders in the spring?

    Hmmm… maybe I did.

So what’s new huh?  So much coming up! May is a big month. We have a big field trip – Mission to Mars. We have the talent show coming up. We have Rite of Passage and a dozen other things. No to mention finals, report cards and all the end of year stuff I have to do to close out a school year.

The funny thing is I am ready to get started planning next year. I’m already getting  excited about it! Strange huh? Although my summer is already shaping up to be extremely busy. Lots of house projects, planning and visits. I forgot – a vaca to Disney World – That I’m totally stoked about!!

OK – so I’m off to visit. Have a great night everyone.

    Question of the day:

    What are you excited about?

  • Good to see you around!! I bet you’re looking forward to the summer. Glad it will be a busy and fun one.

What am I excited about? Graduating my youngest from HS, her prom on 5/14, and all the stuff that goes with it. Fun and memorable times.

  • Ooo, what is the mission to Mars field trip?

I’m excited about going away this weekend!

  • I’m not crazy about my 5th grader right now either!  He has spring fever and is trying hard to check out.

    Glad you’re back!

  • I am starting to get a bit excited about another huge change that is coming shortly. I plan to blog about it soon… when a few more details are closer to being final. Keep watching for it.

  • @TheCheshireGrins - Mission to Mars is a cool program run with one of the Air Force Research Programs – they do a lot of preparation and then make a day of it building habitats out of plastic sheeting that are then inflated with a box fan. They also do a bunch of other things like sing a saga they wrote, give a briefing on the model they created, have their lunch weighed and stuff like that. This will be my first time, it looks like it’s going to be fun!!!

    @dtrask - Spring fever – ugh!

@madamzephyrus - I can’t wait to hear all aobut it!

@endlesssummer128 - my youngest still has 2 more years. Thanks goodness, I need some recovery time. I am looking forward to summer too! Hurry up summer!!!
