Hmm… It’s been awhile.
I’ve been working and spending some time depressed and morose. Alright, that may be an over exaggeration, but you get the idea. On Friday I heard the same ‘ole same ‘ole once again. “You interviewed very well and were our runner up, but we went with someone else for the position”. A bitter, spiteful part of me hopes that they have nothing but trouble with the new teacher and spend the rest of the school year in regret. The rest of me hopes that they’ll remember my resume and excellent interview when they have another opening.
Ugh.
Enough.
Changes at SC I thought was going to reduce my hours. Then one of the CSR left unexpectedly (and unwillingly) and I ended up with his hours. Worked out OK.
Subbed for Bunco last night and it was lots of fun. Especially as I finally Buncoed! Woot! Matter of fact I got 4 buncos. I guess when it rains it pours! I really just enjoy hanging out, laughing and talking, but I’m not adverse to taking home some extra cash!
This week end is supposed to be our week end at the lake. The boat and the hotel are reserved. Hopefully it will be warm and the kids can get wet, otherwise we’re thinking about cancelling the boat. After all six hours on the lake with no swimming or using that slide is not going to be fun for the kids.
Lately my youngest has been having “getting up” issues. It causes grumpiness in generally. She’s pissy because she’s running late and has to hurry. Ducky is pissy because they are running late and Ladybug gets pissy when asked if she’s ready. It’s a vicious circle. I think I’m going to have to step in for a week or so and create a new situation. Of course that means I have to get up early, even when I don’t have to work and that just might make me pissy!! LOL
Question of the day:
What do you do to get yourself out of bed?

I’ll keep my fingers crossed that ya get the job :big-smile:Im not a morning person either i just make sure i have the coffee ready. My kids i have to tell them 3 or4 times to get up and get moving.. I think with kids it will never be easy to get them up. have a great day!
Oh no. :sigh: Hope you have fun at the lake.
I don’t do anything but complain to get myself up in the morning.
I put in my head and tell myself what time I have to get up in the morning……I am usually up early if I do that…..Plus if I drink water before I go to bed I have to get up to pee……Also if they arent eating right and not drinking right it can cause them to be cranky in general……….Or if they havent been sleeping right in general and their body is saying stop I need more sleep……..
Yeah the student should of cooperated but someone should of been intelligent and seen through the stupidity.
I hit snooze 2 times, and then I wander downstairs with one eye open to make coffee. I am not very nice with out it. After that, I try to wake up the 5 sleeps-like-the-dead kids upstairs.
oh, I have the same problem with teen2. He gets so angry when I wake him up, and he usually ignores me. Today I made the mistake of touching his hair when I woke him up, and I almost lost an arm. I like the marching band idea, it just might work!!!
Have fun out on the boat (if you go)
Have a great day!- HC
I just remind myself that at my age I may not have that many days left so I’d better get up and make the best of each day…lol.
I’m not a morning person but if I HAVE to get up I can. Trey on the other hand is the worst, he gets it honest though, Fred’s the same way :sleepy:
After first checking to see if I’m possibly sick and can’t work (rarely happens), I drag my a$$ out with both hands. I hate getting up. When my sister was 12 and decided she wouldn’t get up when mom asked her to, she was the recipient of a sloppy wet, cold washcloth to the face courtesy of my mother. Not nice, but it worked. I was more gentle with my kids. From the age of about 8, they have not had a bedtime. My only rules are that they get up when I call them (the first time) they be ready at the appointed time and they act pleasant. If they don’t get up on first call or are grumpy, they have to go to bed at 7p that night (even if it’s Friday). I have never had to force either of them to bed at 7p. Good luck.
I’ve been very bad about making myself get up. I really need to get some batteries for my alarm clock and set a schedule so that Iend up going to bed before 2 in the morning. I just can’t seem to kick the cycle.
Coffee. Lots of coffee
easy..I always have to pee!!
ok, ok…it helps if I drink some water before going to bed…not much, but enough so that I will have to get up…more water if it’s an early wake-up call!
seriously…it works!! :sleepy: to :what: every time!!
Coffee… lots pf coffee. I don’t talk to anyone until I’ve had at least 2 cups. I always bring each girl a cup of coffee at the appointed time and gently wake them up. Running out of coffee in my house would not be a good thing.. :ROTFL:
Wow! How many hours are you working a week? Are you mostly at SC and less subbing? Glad you had some ‘you’ time at Bunco, and cool that you won!
I’m kinda feeling the same way as you. Why doesn’t anyone want to hire me? I’m smart, experienced, hardworking. But all I feel is old, washed up and out of touch. Rejection will do that to you after a while. Hang in there! I am. I will find a decent job. Somebody wants me, they just don’t know it yet.
Hope you had fun at the lake! I try to remember I don’t have to get up!
I hate looking for work! When we left Chicago all I heard was to much experience, we can’t pay that much. My favorite was ” we will keep you on file!”
I am so sorry about that job thing. I always though I was discriminated about my weight and age…you’ll never convenience me other wise!
I am lucky that my one kid at home is a get upper! :dancingcow: :dancingcow: :dancingcow: :dancingcow:Qe
