  • Nobody mention it’s Wednesday.

Silver_Fangz is sick — again!! Started with a sore throat Monday, and then yesterday her ears starting hurting again. I had already gotten her an appointment she goes this morning. Wish us luck. Poor thing, she was so upset when her ears started hurting. She’s so tired of being sick. Add to that the drama of being 15 and in a rocky relationship, and you get how her month is going –.

Hopefully the doc can fix her up. As for the relationship, I think she’s working really hard at it, but a lot of damage has been done. Not sure if it’s salvagable. I just wish she could have some fun without all the drama day in and day out.

When I was 15 I didn’t have this kind of drama. Course I only had one guy I really cared enough about to get upset over and he didn’t do drama either. Worked out well. OK – he did a little drama, nothing terribly major though.

Then maybe again,  it might have something to do with the haze that surrounded me back then…..hmmmm……………….

I’ve been finding damage from the earthquake…. little things, molding coming off windows, my pantry separated and the shelves don’t “fit” anymore, the top of my banister on my lanai separated…. jeesh. Glad I don’t have to fix all this stuff!

    flooding

This is a picture from the flooding on Monday — but to tell you the truth, coming from AZ and experience Monsoon flooding every year, this doesn’t really look like flooding.

    This…however, looks like flooding!
    houston flood

So instead of complaining, I’m going to send some thoughts and prayers to those worse off than us…. like those folks in Houston.

Well…Silver_Fangz just came home from school (she made it an 1 1/2– not good) so I’m of to take care of her. Then I have 500 words to write, and about 8 chapters to read from three different text books, so I probably won’t be back on today. I’ll try to update and let you know how the Dr. appt went.

What about you guys?? Drama or calm relationships?

  • My husband and I started dating when I was 17 and he was 21.  The first 10 years were chock full of drama.  Once we got married though, all that nonsense stopped.  My husband was committment fobic.  Once he finally committed, all drama was gone, thank God!

  • i definitely prefer when we are drama free!!!!!!!!!  take care of your baby!!!!!!!

  • I hope she is feeling better and that you got a chance to do your reading. Wonder how many other people are also finding quake damage? Alicia said their place was OK, but I don’t know how carefully it was checked. Even with the small quake we had (4 something) that was over 200 miles away, they kept checking the local dam. Seemed excessive to me, but I’d rather them be thorough! Take care of yourself!

My current relationship is pretty much drama free and I like it that way. I have had some in the past that were too dramatic for me, although nothing like the emotional roller coasters that some of my friends have taken! Thank goodness!

  • Hope she’s feeling better soon.  :)    When dh and I first met I was 21 he was 27 (he was a bit more settled than myself) so I caused alot of drama back then     Now I think we’re pretty darn drama free but keep enough around to spice things up sometimes

  • Not much drama for me.  Had WAY too much in my first marriage.

  • Absolutely no drama here…never…  Puhleeze…would so prefer to be drama free…who wouldn’t?  Ear infection?  Poor baby…(so what if she’s a teenager…she’s still a baby.)  And OF COURSE you’re on the protected list…

  • Poor thing.  I can’t imagine how she must feel.  I hope the Dr appointment went well.  I thought she dumped him?  Drama is no good.  She is too young and vibrant for that much drama.  I had a drama relationship but it was all on his end.  He was a drama queen.  Yikes.  Don’t miss that at all.  That is why we tell Andrew he doesn’t need a girl friend right now.  Just enjoy friendships and have a good time in high school.  I hope things get worked out and the drama can subside.  I hope her ears are better too.  That stinks.

You are always right about Wednesdays.  Weird.  Glad you didn’t have too much damage from the quake.

  • OH BOY, teen drama, don’t I know it!….OUR Sarah generates enough drama to last us a life time!….I did not surround myself with drama in high school, but then again, I was not part of the “in crowd” as Sarah is, and I think that helped me a great deal, since that in crowd lived in a place called DRAMA!…I also did not have a boyfried until my junior year in high school, and then is was short lived and not dramatic at all, we stayed friends and everything….very cordial.

I hope she is feeling lots better….by the way, I was thinking that perhaps she may need to see an infectious disease doctor or at the very least, an ENT that is also an allergist, and I know that I am asking for a great deal in Maui, but you may need to fly her to Oahu for a specialist, it would be time and money well spent, because these recurrent infections are not good for anyone, least of all a young girl like this….just my two cents worth.

  •   age and close to 15 years makes a big diffrence.

  • drama..hmmm?
Is it called dramatic when I threaten hubby with death if he makes another pile of junk on my clean counters? Or when I told him that if he puts his shoes in the middle of the floor again I will stick them in his pillowcase. Then I did it. Is that drama?

    Silver_Fangz! GET BETTER RIGHT NOW!
There. You just need to shock it outta her system.

Must go pick up the mini-me’s in a few minutes. Have a great Thursday!
