“HONORING YOUR QUEENS AND LORDS”
(Challenge 10 2006)
So I am going to suggest to pick a minimum of 5 Queens and or Lords, and a maximum of how ever many you would like to do, but basically we are going to appreciate or recognize the Queens and Lords we choose. I won’t put a limit on how many you would like To recognize or appreciate…
Next to their name make a comment of why they’re special to you on your subscriptions list or why you enjoy going to their page.
PLEASE NOTE: DON’T BE OFFENDED IF YOUR NAME DOES NOT APPEAR ON ANY ONE’S LIST… EVERYONE IN THIS BLOGRING IS MUCH APPERCIATED BY OUR ROYAL HIGHNESS I AM SURE OF IT!This is a tough one. I have a lot of subs, and I visit a lot of sites and I love all of them. I wouldn’t continue to visit them if I didn’t! I think we are supposed to stick with sites from the Kween_of_the_Kweens blogring, but I’m not real sure I could stick to those guidelines, so I’m branching out.
First and foremost has to be ThisIsBullDookie. My first subscriber that was non-family. A good friend from eons ago — due to military lives we have been separated for the past — what 4 years? I miss her terribly and miss playing poker, having coffee and torturing her husband with melted cheese dip. Her site keeps me up to date on her and her families lives and also…she’s funny! We once believed we would always be near (until retirement) but the Air Force has a way of changing those thoughts.. ok, it wasn’t a belief, it was a hope!
Ok, the rest are in no paticular order, here we go:
Sunnycaligurl: Who was a sub early on, when she shut down her site we were all sad. We were glad when she started a new one and I love stopping by and see what is new in her life.. like her latest ongoing battle with ants.
DiniHJ: a fellow homeschooler and extremely wise and intelligent. She always has interesting perspectives. I first fell in love with her blog when she was telling us stories about her darling son and his interpretations of what he learned in Sunday School.
luvmykidsjj: fun and family centered, multitalented and a fellow reality series junkie. Love the jokes and the warmth she exudes in her writing.
Jtqueenbee30: Always interesting and has the coolest drawings. Anyone who loves smiley faces, VW bugs and hippy stuff is OK in my book. Jess is a real friend and I love to chat with her when we are both online at the same time. She’s a hard worker who is dealing with a lot and still finds ways to be happy.
A new sub for me: Screaminginmyhead: subbed to Pam when she took over Featured_Grownups. I love her style of writing and the great variety of topics. Lots of fun to read.
Homeschoolingthem: another fellow homeschooler who has an amazing family. She shares their daily adventures in words and pictures.
momofjenmatt: What can I say about Laura — except that she consistently cracks me up. I can relate to so many of her experiences, but I could never tell them as well. Anyone who plots on blogging about speedos…that’s good stuff!
WineCountryGirl: Great pics, stories and insights from Wine Country. Oh yeah… and a good looking garden and plumber/nephew!
Lonelystarsabuv: Again, a fellow student who is warm, caring and a busy as a mom, student, photographer and girlfriend. She’s always on the go! I really admire her determination and will power!
vjgunkel59: What an amazing person! She has a great family (a large family) which she homeschool the children, is very active in all their activities and still has time to do crafts like sewing etc. It’s amazing! She has great insights about many issues facing families these days.
iwannaprivacy: a long time sub. I subbed to her while she was back in school as well, but she has moved on now (lucky). I love to hear about her successes and journeys in her daily life. She’s open and honest and very caring.
another new sub: LIF1955: a fellow fan of Knight’s Tale and all around good read.
anirive6: A fellow military wife, mother and Hawaiian (for a few more months anyway!) Always busy, and dealing with many of the same issues I have to deal with, such as cleaning base housing before PCS’ing, planning for vacations from an “overseas” location and a multitude of other irratating little details.
KoffeeKween: Ah! The Kween herself! And a fellow flybaby. Right on!
There are lots more, like ERIS77869, cyndelee, queenelizzy, gabrielpeter, LittleLo_63, PlainOleMike (when he’s not busy with his new baby) and a host of others. I’m sorry if I left anyone out, it would take days to plug in everyone!
The important point is that through xanga I have hooked up with some people that I enjoy hearing from and getting to know better. I think of these people as my new friends. I appreciate all my subs and all their contributions.
Thank you my Queens and Lords!

Thanks for including me! I am looking forward to getting to know you better. I just married a retired Air Force man and am learning about things like shopping in the BX and commissary. I kept my insurance so I haven’t had to try the health care system, but it seems a mystery to me! And you are a Flybaby too! My sister LOVES the Fly Lady. Her tips do make so much sense and “some day” I will…..you can fill in the rest. Just started reading the lastest Anne McCaffrey dragon book and will soon be transporting myself into the world she creates. Books, the ultimate way to travel through time and space! Hope you have a wonderful week!
I’m honored that you included me :sunny: Thank you, have a wonderful Monday night.
Wow! It’s not everyday that I am honored as a Queen!
And being the good queen that I am…I think it’s time I made my Lord get off his lazy arse and take out the damn trash! Seriously though! I cleaned the rest of the house!
I wish you guys were here to play poker! I hate teaching people how to play every week. They make my head hurt when they only raise when they have good cards….
Great list
Thank you for sharing
RYC Thanks for stopping by Welcome any time. I hope we become very good friends
Have a nice night
ryc: that’s one of my favorite pictures too!

Thank you for stopping by my site. And I love what you wrote about all your special people. The only one I am familiar with is KK, but I will have to check out some of the other ones.
I read your profile, and WOW…we do have a lot of things in common. Hellacool.
I read you’ve been to Holland. I was born and raised there. Where were you and how did you like it?
Oh, and I am a former Air Force wife. Hubby retired at 16 years for an offer he couldn’t refuse here in Dallas, were we live now, hehehe.
Hope to hear from you again soon.
~Leontine~

I love your “welcome to my blog picture at the bottom fo your page! haha!
I’ll have to come back and check out some of your links!
Thanks you so much for your kind words and interest. I am honored that you put me in a list of Queens and Lords! God bless you and have a great day.
Thank you so much! That was so sweet! I adore you too! Have a wonderful & blessed day! ****HUGS****
 Why thank you for your very kind word! I’m just beaming with pride! You are very sweet to me.
I read your note to the first sub with interest and it took me back to my navy wife years…The military supplies the best-est friends and I still maintain one of those relationships from over 25 years ago. (ironically-she lives in Hawaii-Kuwai-sp?) Anyway, back in those day, we had the cheese dip, chips and cards…spades and hearts…it was always either of those two games. She gave up the husband, her children are grown and married now, and we are still friends. My 2 years with the military were good ones, but with the USN, it’s ahrd on a marriage to have so much seperation, so my husband got out after his first stint. They were fun years.
Awww, I am honored. Thanks. That made me smile:) I am still battling the ants too. They came back again in the garage. Ugh. Now they want to dog food again. Have a great Tuesday
Thank you for the nice mention. I would of put more but she said just 5. I should of just did it any ways.
This was a nice assignment, making Xangaland friends through other friends.
So did I understand it correctly? You also homeschooled? I only have one child and I homeschooled her through 9th grade. She’s a senior in high school this year now. I’d do it all over again if I had to.
Have a wonderful day!
RYC: Thank you for stopping in. I’m glad you enjoyed the read.
Cool post. I know one of the people you mentioned. have a great rest of your week.
HUGS!!!
THANK YOU! You are one of the people I have most enjoyed getting to know here in XangaLand as well! You always challenge me to think, which is a good thing after a day spent at home with four little people.
