ok, so I sort of tweaked my site a little. Sorry SF. Not that I didn’t like what you did for me. Just wanted a little different feel ya’ know?

I love the forest. Much more than the ocean. Although the ocean can’t really be beat. I love standing on my lanai and looking at the sunset over the water.

Although I don’t do it as often as I did when we first got here. Easy to forget the blessings we live with.

Did you know they have Redwoods on Maui???? Cool huh??? they also have what they call “Rainbow Eucalyptus” forest. They are way cool. Very strange looking, almost alien.

Alright enough goofing off for now. It’s off to beddy bye land for me. Need to get up early and get crackin’ on that school work!

Oh BTW: the band at Mulligan’s was called Celtic Knights and they were a great Irish band. Lots of hand clapping, foot stompin’ fun was had by all.

So I spent the last few days getting caught up with my school work for the week. Finally finished just a few minutes ago. Whew….. this is going to be interesting! I need to do all my work for next week done by Tuesday. Let’s see this weeks work (the first week) took me 5 days. Yeah, no problem I should be able to get it all done in 2. Hah!!!

Next Wednesday is hubby’s birthday though. He leaves Thurs for Oahu and comes home on Friday, I scrapbook Thurs. night. Friday night I head out for Women’s retreat.

I’m kind of nervous about that. The Women’s Retreat. First of all I’ll be sharing a hotel room with 3 other women. That may mean sharing a bed…. a little out of my comfort zone. I think I will bring my inflatable mattress. I haven’t shared a bed with another female over the age of 14 for a very long time. Since I was 14 probably. It’s not something I feel I need to do. Besides sharing the bed…. I tend to snore. I think I am going to be embarrassed. I’m tempted to drive home every evening. But…. it’s a long way. It’s on the other side of the island. I don’t know. I haven’t felt this self conscious in a long time.

I haven’t missed this feeling!

Tonight we will go to church and then meet some other families at Mulligan’s on the Blue for dinner and entertainment. They supposedly have a good band playing. We’ll see. I’m looking forward to a night out regardless.

Alright!! I have finally received my textbooks. Now…. I have 8 chapters in 3 different books to read in the next few days so I can complete my assignments.  HOOORAY!!! Such FUN!!!

Ok what’s up with photobucket???? It’s seriously irritating me. Haarrmmphhhh…..

I think I have started pre menopause. Honestly…. how much fun can one woman stand. If I didn’t know better I’d think I was pregnant….. I cry all the time, either that or I’m snapping people’s heads off. And it’s all real sudden. I just snap. Yikes. I am also having a lot of the other symptoms. I know better though. Hubby went in not long after our youngest was born.

Maybe…. I’m just getting sick. In a bizarre way… that’s what I’m hoping, that I’m just getting sick.

I was supposed to be going to a women’s retreat next weekend. Problem…. just found out last week hubby has a TDY that weekend. Means I can’t go cause…. no one to watch the kids. Some days I hate the Air Force. Mostly it’s been a great life. Weeks like this just irate me though.  (hmmmm….. could this ire be linked to the the previous problem???) I think so!!!

Well have to go…. need to give Squirt her spelling test. It’s testing day here…… fun, fun, fun.

Ok — I need some happy pills or something. I have to quit this melancholy stuff. It’s just not me.

I resolve to have fun…. laugh…. and be happy.

Maybe tomorrow.  I don’t feel like it today. Besides…. I’m a procrastinator.

It has BEGUN!!!!

I am just about to have a nervous breakdown and I decide to start on my Master’s degree????  WHAT was I THINKING????

I honestly thought I might have a panic attack earlier. I was finally able to log on to my online classes and contrary to what I had been told… I need textbooks!! 5 different ones. With homework based on the readings due next Monday!!! What a great way to start my program……….<laughing maniacally>

So I spent most the day tracking down my textbooks and getting them shipped. Funny thing about that… I ended up going through the University bookstore on Oahu. I asked them to expedite shipping and was told it would cost more. I agreed to pay then they tell me… UPS won’t pick up till the day after tomorrow and ships next day. Well………… priority will take 3-5 days at half the cost. Let’s think this one through……. HMMMMM!!!! Pay twice the amount and receive same day as priority, or ship priority and receive it same day as UPS. Let me think. 

oh yeah…. I is a college student.

This weekend should be fun as all the assignments will be due on Monday. Hurrah!

Must be something in the air, I think. Hubby had his two big wig bosses picking at each other and throwing temper tantrums (well the adult version) in the staff meeting this morning.  One of them I would never have believed it.

First — she’s a woman (that’s really enough said, but I’ll go on anyway) Second — she’s very calm, cool, reserved, thoughtful, and well spoken. Third — she’s a woman (we usually are more subtle).

Looks like they are trying to do away with the enlisted billets here, so we may be leaving earlier than we thought. They are still fighting to keep them though. We’ll see. Hope it’s not too soon. Summer is soon enough for me. Have people coming to visit this winter to see the whales and I would be devastated if my folks never made it to Hawaii to visit. They deserve it.

Alright! So we are all soaked and tired. We took the kids to Maui Golf and sports park today. Had fun on the Extreme Trampoline, Rock Climbing and the best fun of all — Bumper Boats!  We also played 18 holes of very tough putt putt…. jeesh, I remember when that stuff used to be basic flat greens with obstacles.

Nope — these had hills, pitches, breaks, ruffs…. and the regular obstacles. I personally think it is unfair to place a golf hole inside a little hill…… JEESH!!! It’s PUTT PUTT! Little kids will be playing.

Course the little kids seem to have less problems than the grown-ups. Hmmmm…. maybe we just over think this stuff.

So Squirt had a great Birthday. She got a set of Junior Golf Clubs, a very cool book called Wizardology, some puzzles, clothes and misc. toys etc. and the 1st season of Charmed on DVD. She’s a Charmed fanatic. LOL. She’s already watched the first few episodes! LOL

I was kinda grumpy today.

Started out badly.

Hubby got up and started on the laundry AGAIN! There’s like two whole loads of dirty laundry…. oh nooooo…. call the laundry gestapo.

Jeez.

He’s made a lot of comments about me not working, being lazy etc in the last couple months and what little patience I have (and he knows it very minute amount) has run out.

The lawn needed mowing, the trash needed taking out, he’s got a ton of “fix it” chores on his “honey do list” and he has the nerve to start on the laundry like he has to take up my slack.

Honestly….. a fist sandwich is coming his way if he don’t straighten up. AAARRRGHHHHH.  I know, I know, why am I complaing right? Let him go ahead and do my chores too.

Believe me I’ve thought about it. I would if I thought I wouldn’t have to hear his mouth about it later.

Men… you can’t live with them, you can’t kill them.

He’s made some other mistakes lately too….. sometimes I wonder if he packed his brain in his back pack with his work out gear. <shakes head sadly>

He’s working on a diamond encrusted titanium backhoe. (that’s how many holes he’s dug for himself)

Well… I ought to go do some “chores”.

Then again…. screw it. I think I’ll just play some computer games or finish my book. Hah!!! Take that you Laundry Nazi!!!! Dirty clothes for all!!!!!
