  • Whew…. yesterday was long and UBER frustrating. First went to pick up Squirts original X-rays. The hospital has very limited parking as they have “free” valet parking. Drove around for 10 minutes looking for a spot but only available were….. you guessed it…. reserved for Valet Parking Only!! HOW convenient!!!!

Finally get in and guess what, they have the envelope, but NO FILMS inside and they can’t find them. So I wait 40 minutes while they walk around the reception area wondering what to do, and finally say that I have to go, because I have to get to her doctors. Then one of the lady’s gets all pissed off cause I’m being demanding I guess…. I was frustrated I admit, but I was not rude, they suggested they take new films and I said “I don’t have time, I have to leave now for the appt. and the doctor wanted to see the original films of the break”

They end up calling the doctor, taking new x-rays and we finally leave an hour later — YIKES!

Anyways…. Squirt got the all clear for everything except roller blading. The doctor said she was 12 going on 30 and that he didn’t feel like he was talking to a 12 yr. old. Then as we were leaving she was behaving totally 12 and I told him “see she really is 12″.

Then went Halloween shopping. Normally don’t go this early, but here if you don’t get it when they have it, you don’t get it. It was a totally bummer of a trip. Found everything, Squirt found a costume she loved (we had found it earlier and stashed and came back with Dakota so we could get it all in one trip) and some SOB took her costume out of our CART!!! and wouldn’t give it back!! and also took the only other version of that costume. What an ass….. Squirt was so upset!!!   As soon as I confronted them they booked out of the store and left. Taking her costume with them!

Still fuming about it!! I mean honestly… what kind of a slime ball does that???? Ok maybe they didn’t know it was a personal cart, you know how you see those return carts all over Walmart, but once I said something, they should have returned it.  GRRRRRRRRRR……………. makes me mad enough to spit…………..puh!!!!

Ok, so now we are at the Grand for the week end. OBTW ~~~ Dog still had fleas when we dropped her off at the kennel! <heavy sigh> <despair, hopelessness, frustration>. We plan to enjoy the week end and not worry about fleas, finances, friends, or foes.  Wish us good luck!!!

  • Very cool social gathering tonight. We had an all grown up dinner at the Grand Wailea. Awesome food, friendly faces and excellent entertainment.

We got about an hour long concert by Hapa ~ they rocked. It was Hawaiian contemporary with awesome guitars. Very cool.

Yesterday the girl’s and I made signs then hooked up with a bunch of guys from the Det. to welcome back a troop that had been deployed to Kuwait for the last 120 days. We had a whole box full of flower leis and buried him up to his forehead. It was lots of fun.

We made some awesome signs too…. I was sooo…. proud of us!! Hooray for me! Hooray for the girls! Hooray for Hubby (he got the leis)! Go Air Force!

Afterwards we headed back to the Grand to see this truly amazing 3D presentation called from Here to Mars all about 3D imaging and what they can do with it. We saw some kick butt photos from the Mars rovers Liberty and Opportunity. Very cool.  Got a great shirt with the DET 15 slogan “Eyes on the Skies, Nowhere to hide” in Hawaiian on the back.  Again, Very Cool. All in all a good day.

I tried once again to rid us of those pesky nasty little fleas. Hope I had some luck. Talked to a good friend who now lives in Nebraska. Really need to get closer together so we can play some serious poker… bring on the Jolt, the chocolate and cards ~~ and BTW No POKER CHIPS!!!!!

It’s late and boy do I need some beauty sleep…… tomorrow is a busy day with an appointment to get Squirt’s foot checked (finally — Thanks TriCare: I spit on you…puh!) and then packing up to head to the Grand for the weekend. Oh yeah, also have to take the puppy (who is hopefully flea free) to the kennel. Hmmmm….. sounds like a lot. What else can I throw in there???? >>>>>>>>> OH YEAH!!! Have to make a side trip to the hospital to pick up Squirts original x-rays. Why you may so boldly ask??? BECAUSE WE HAVE TO SEE A DIFFERENT DOCTOR THAN THE ORIGINAL ONE WHO TREATED HER!!!!!! Once again TriCare….. I Spit on you…puh!

    Alright it’s off to bed.

or maybe to play computer gin…….

    you’ll never know………muahahahahaha!

  • Yesterday was spent primarily grocery shopping. what fun huh? These that I live for! Whoo–hooo, everybody Par-tee!

Hubby headed off for an hour of surfing before heading off to work. He is working on the AMOS convention, which is evidently a really big deal. Lots of big wigs and DVs. What fun huh? Course the upside is he is staying at the Grand Wailea for the week and we reserved the room for next weekend. The have a water slide park with a 1,000 water slide and a water elevator. Grand….. here we come!!

Squirt’s new curriculum has come in and she can officially begin 6th grade next week. We purchased the new book by Christopher Paolonini and I can’ wait to read that. We crafted Friday and have just about finished our Santa moons. I am enjoying the tole painting and wood crafting. I have lots of projects I would like to do. One that I already talked to P. about is building a craft armoire. If I was in the states I could order the one I want from target.com, but guess what??? They don’t ship to Alaska or Hawaii. Ahhhhh… one more benefit to living in paradise.

At least for awhile we are not the highest gas for a change. Although I feel really bad for the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The ladies are putting on a burger burn and bake sale the benefits to go to the Hurricane relief. I wish we could do more. There is so much need  there…..

Other than that, no much to write about on this end. Just the everyday boring hum drum stuff of a stay at home mom.

  • All STRESSED  out and no one to CHOKE!

Well today was loads of fun….. only NOT!! I hate Payday — it’s also bill day.  Yuck, and double Yuck. Not only that but the high cost of living and one income is really starting to put the pinch in our lives.

Needless to say there was some tears and frustration along with some despair. I love living here… but with the cost of gas, groceries and living… it’s killing us.

I applied for a student loan today which will cover my college expenses and leave some extra to help for the living but jeesh. I really hate being broke. We can pay the bills, but it sucks to not be paying stuff off, accruing more credit and not having money to spend when I want.

Did I mention the high cost of living here was killing me????

Ok ~~ can I have some cheese with my whine?

    Nuff said about that.

Later on we went and got new IDs at the Air National Guard. I’m fairly certain the guy thought we were certifiable.

Then we went shopping. What else do you do when your broke right??? LOL ~~ Just Kidding, we had it all planned by then. Hubby stayed at work and studied. Study boy study!!! We definitely need to make Chief. Besides that, we’ll probably get out of here a year early, so we can begin our financial recuperation.

Now I will have to go, as I purchase Sahara today and must go watch….. Yeah for me!! I love Sahara!! Too Funny!!
