Month: July 2005

  • OK ~ Long time no update, but I’ve been busy…………. ! We have had company from NoCal, that’s been lots of fun. Silver_fangz had her BD, that was lots of fun.

Went to Wally world and passed by the cheap movie bins…

    The magnetic force is pulling me……. I … Can’t …. Resist….. must ….. buy…… cheap……. movies…… UGHHHHH………….

So, now we have lots more movies!!! HOORAY! I love movies!

Went to the Fun Park for Silver_Fangz birthday and had a blast getting totally soaked at the bumper boats! Then went and had Cold Stone Creamery while still dripping wet. Doesn’t get much more fun than that! LOL

I have reached maximum denisty levels however, so I think that has to be the last ice cream for quite some time. The last ANYTHING with flavor for quite some time. Oh Well…. <heavy sigh>, that’s what happens when you get old and have babies.  I blame it all on my kids — Who cares that was over a decade ago???? It’s still all there fault. LOL

OK time to go do something healthy.  Maybe a second cup of coffee and some TV. I think Healthy can wait a little while longer.

  • Actually, I’m not reading it, but silver_fangz is.

We just returned from the midnight release. silver_fangz and bff from NorCal were there from 4:30 till midnight….. That’s serious dedication. As silver_fangz said ” I’m a Pottriat”. She was sick too, and refused to leave. Crazy! We were the third family to buy our copies, and both girls have settled in for a long summer’s read….. lol actually, they will probably both be done by Sunday! (which means I can then begin the reading)

Stayed out late last night scrapbooking. I know scrapbooking sounds boring, but it’s not the way me and my friends do it! When I got home Dh said “I  thought you weren’t going to stay out as late this time” I replied: “I didn’t….. I stayed out later!” I got home at 3:00 am…. what was I doing for all that time you may ask, especially since I don’t drink and both my friends and my self are Christians who are devoted to our husbands and families????   Well………… scrapbooking of course!

Course I only finished 2 pages and a title for one, but I had a blast and ate my weight in chocolate chip cookies…. Thanks Alex, your a genius with cookies!

We were going to drive around the island and visit the blow hole and Honulua bay, but silver_fangz was sick. So we ended up coming back home and resting, watching movies etc…. till the girls decreed it was time to begin the Potter mania. LOL

Well, it’s late…. Only reason I am even close to be being conscious is because I took a 3 hour nap this afternoon. <thanking heaven that we didn’t make that trip all the way around the west end of the island>

So tata for now…. have a good evening and enjoy the latest adventures of Harry, Ron and Hermione……..

    In Magic……..

Well — Third daughter is here visiting…. actually just a close friend of oldest dd… we have taken her into our family and love her like a daughter. So we have her here and hope to have lots of fun.  Today we are off to the beach. Friday we will be going to the Midnight Release Party for HP6. We are all looking forward to that.

It has been so nice being home ~ I especially enjoying my high speed connection ~~ THANK GOD for broadband.

Tomorrow is Scrapbooking ~~ HOORAY! <claps hands excitedly and jumps up and down>

OK, I know, what a geek, but hey a girl’s got to have an outlet. And what else am I supposed to do with my thousands of pictures??

It’s been wonderful temperature wise here, rainy and cool most days, but that also means on days when it doesn’t rain — like 200% humidity. That means that the moisture is practically falling out of the air, but it’s not raining. EEEEWWWW…….

The poor dog… we can not get rid of the fleas…. remember those jumping biting bugs that I reserve a special hatred for… I’m sure the dog feels the same way. I don’t know what else to do… hot humid weather seems to foster excellent breeding situations for them…. <scowling and shaking head>

OK… enough boredom — time for one more cup of Java, then off to the beach! Hurrah!! Living in Paradise does have it’s benefits………

  • Ahhh…. home at last.

Yesterday was extremely long… we ended up being delayed. Everything went well until LAX…. we got on the plane and the pilot announced they were running a few last minute checks but that we were going to be out of there early…… 2 1/2 hours later we were boarding another plane…… and still hadn’t left LAX.

    Can you say “YUCK” ?

We ended gettting home about 3 hours later than scheduled. At least we got here though. HOORAY for us!!

It’s really nice to be home. Enjoyed my waterbed, and having someone to snuggle with. Have spent the entire morning on the computer enjoying my broadband connection. Man I HATE dial up!!!

Well I know dd is chomping at the bit to experience the broadband sensation.

Besides…. have to make a grocery list. Dh was kind enough to leave an empty fridge….. so we could “get the stuff we want”.

Oh well…. nothing like grocery shopping to brighten a day.

The weather is beautiful here, and I think I hear the beach calling me…. maybe tomorrow………

  • Well, ….. I’m…………. Baaackkkkk…………

Went to Tucson for a few days. Saw some friends and did some shopping. Yeah!! They had stores that had aisles and aisles of scrap booking stuff! Hooray for me….. Boo for the budget!

One thing about Tucson — IT’S BLOODY HOT THERE! No wonder Arizonians tend to be a little on the grumpy side…. Jeesh. DD got in the car and went to buckle up, burnt herself (I had just done it too) and was quite put out. This is the kid who wants nothing more than to go back there. LOL. I think it was an eye opener. She said she had forgotten how hot it was there.

It’s also crowded with lots of traffic and did I mention the people are grumpy?? Take me back to my nice friendly island with the cool breezes and the blue waters. It may be isolated, but at least it’s not hotter than the surface of the sun!

We saw War of the Worlds while I was there (well I saw it with a friend, kids saw Madagascar) and we all went to see Sahara again. War of the Worlds is really, seriously very intense. Good movie — but holy cow. You have to remind yourself to breathe sometimes. And Sahara is awesome…. love that movie!!!!

The actual trip was not bad at all and we stayed in TLF at DMAFB. The base has made a ton of improvements and if it weren’t for the blasted furnace they live in, I wouldn’t mind being stationed there again.

Went to Hot Topix and got some blue hair coloring fo DD. Went to State Line Tack and got riding apparel for youngest DD. Wow ~ can you get any more different? Punk vs. Cowgirl  LOL

Well off to unload our treasures…. and to find a box to pack and send!!
